Isn't Brandan Wright the guy who won't work out against anyone else?

He's one of them. Durant and Oden are two others. It's not uncommon. Thomas didn't work out against anyone last year.

I am a UNC fan and I don't want the Bulls to get near Wright. That said, I think he is further along than Thomas was at the equivalent point in his career. he has a couple of [simple] back to the basket moves and is a good off the ball defender, but he's about as likely to mix it up inside as I am. I'd rather have the other Wright if had to choose.

Also I have read that Brewer's stock is falling as the initial hype gives way to reality. He could be there at nine, apparently.

Brewer would be nice. He's a SF, but could play the 2G pretty easily. He would be a great answer to Rip, LeBron, and Carter in the East. He would allow the Bulls to trade Gordon possibly in a package for Gasol or a similar player.

Yeah, Brewer would be a good fit, especially if he could play the 2.

Lots of room for improvement for Brandan, no doubt. But he'd be a steal at 9 and I like him more than Julian -- both in terms of fit for the Bulls and ceiling.

Hollinger put together a college prospect ranking system recently. Good read (it's free!) and interesting tool. It's high on Brandan Wright.

Certainly makes TT and Deng look good.

Damn you stole my thunder. I thought Hollinger's analysis and the system her put together was as good as any I have seen in any sport.

So if it came down to Brewer, Yi, and Hawes, the correct choice should be...Fazekas? Yikes.

There are misses in any system, and it could turn out to be correct about Fazekas too. Yi also falls outside the system.

Wow..that list is real high on Young from Georgia Tech

Oh, I'm not saying there aren't misses, I'm just concerned that the 3 potential "biggest busts" are all likely to be there when the Bulls pick, and I have a hard time seeing the Bulls pass on all of them.

EDIT: That and Brandan Wright is rated so high, and yet is disappointing in workouts (so I've heard).

Brandan Wright would be an ideal pick.

He'd fall far enough to have a chip on his shoulder and would have the kind of coach who wouldn't put up with any slacking. I think he would have been best served with staying another year, but hey, I'll happily take him on this team.

Hollinger's rating system has been pretty darn accurate...It is really making me think the Bulls should stay clear of Haywes.

I think Jordan takes Wright if he is there, but I guess McHail is in love with Hawyes, so maybe the Bulls could swing a trade where Minny drafts Wright, and the Bulls draft Hawes, then swap the picks.

Sun-Sentinel[/url]"]Although not often discussed, Riley actually had to be talked out of taking Central Michigan center Chris Kaman at No. 5 in 2003. His personnel staff instead pushed for the younger, less experienced Dwyane Wade.

Stupid Heat scouts.

It seems like all the Zach Randolph rumors died...is he sitll on the trading block?

He might not be if they decide to go with Durant over Oden which seems like a possibility.

The ability Durant has for not being able break a Twix bar is amazing.

I would think he can bulk up seeing as he's only 19-year old, but Oden should be the no-doubt first pick overall.

I wouldn't pass up Oden either, but did you see some of the results from Durant's workouts?
