Wade Miller for Corey Patterson

A- Corey isnt worth that much. His lifetime OBP is lower than Neifi Perez's now. The guy is just a bum.

B- We thankfully dont need more OFs.

C- I would become a Cardinal fan. (ok, i wouldnt...but i would be very very angry.)

On a happy note, Jon Leicester was one of the guys brought up to replace some of the Orioles DL cats. Nice to see him reappear after some serious type surgery. Hopefully he will do well.

Wade Miller for Alex Sanchez.

EDIT: Dammit, beaten.

Last I heard, Wade threw the ball pain free, was probably going to do a minor league start or two and then be activated in about 10-12 days.

Hendry does have a recent history of trading with Baltimore.

What about trading Sean Marshall to Balt. for some real prospects. Marshall is from the Virginia area and is pitching well in Iowa. I don't see him getting another shot for sometime and the Cubs could use him as a bargaining chip to get other prospects to fill other areas of need in the system--shortstop? I'm not for moving Marshall unless they can get something good in return.

I would prefer to use Marshall in a package with others (Miller, Jones, Ohman, Eyre, etc) for major league talent. I simply feel he is more valuable in a trade than for a gamble (which most any minor leaguer is).

Wait, wait, wait. They feel a "sense of urgency" to get another starter out there, and they're specifically targeting Wade Miller and Jeff Weaver?

Baltimore sure loves our crap. I bet they'd love Izturis too.

I say we throw him in, get Tejada. Hell, they can have Cedeno too, and we'll throw in a couple of burned-out minor league arms.

That's not near enough. We'll need to throw in at least two more speedy, scrappy players before we can land Tejada.

yeah, he's a "bum" for not having a .400 OBP. man, he must eat fetuses in his spare time. i bet he's the cause of global warming, too! watch out everyone.... corey patterson is coming to eat your children, even those that are still in the womb. he and that "headcase" kyle farnsworth will probably team up. what will we do?

What in the world are you talking about?

Nothing you typed does anything to dispute what he actually said. It's just a bunch of absurd hyperbole that makes no sense and has nothing to do with what he originally wrote.

Overreact much?

One of my sources from the East Coast is hearing a rumor that the Orioles are talking to the Cubs and Mariners about acquiring either Wade Miller or Jeff Weaver. After moving Adam Loewen to the 60 day DL, the Orioles have a "huge sense of urgency" to fill the starting pitching void.

Before I react I would like to say that this is in no way directed at you rather at the Orioles.

That being said....

Jeff Weaver, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Dude would make their starting pitching worse. This is the same Jeff Weaver who gave up 6 runs in 5 innings today and saw his ERA drop over a run (from 15.35 to 14.32) and has a WHIP of 2.59. Even Wade Miller thinks Weaver has pitched horribly this year.

Would you want this guy http://assets.espn.go.com/i/mlb/profiles/players/65x90/6200.jpg on your team? He looks like he's baked out of his mind.

There is an article in the NY Post today that has the Orioles talking to the Mets about Chan Ho Park.

Sheesh they are scraping from the bottom of the barrell. Why not just promote somone, even if he stinks? They aren't catching the Sox anyway, and the WC is very likely to come from the Central.

No, wouldn't want him on my team, but this guy looks more stoned out of his mind:

Wade Miller-S-Cubs May. 15 - 5:00 pm et

Wade Miller (back) allowed three runs and seven hits in 5 2/3 innings Tuesday in his first rehab start for Double-A Tennessee.

Miller will make at least one more rehab start. The Cubs may decide not to put him back in their rotation if Angel Guzman remains effective.

Ha. I just thought it was a BS injury to get Guzman in the majors.

There's a few I hope get a shot before Miller.

Miller gone yet?

I hope that he is. Guzman has pitched really good so far and we have Marshall pitching great in the minors. There's not reason to hold onto a guy who clearly will never be the same again.
