He ripped a line drive to the opposite field, I'll take that as a result of the approach.

 

i won't... his approach is awful. He's been swinging early in every at bat and not coincidentally, he hasn't had productive at bats.

 

How can you fault him for swinging at a good pitch and hammering it? If he pops up a borderline strike on the first pitch, then fine, but a good pitch to hit is a good pitch at 0-0 and 2-1.

 

Not if the catchers CERA is really high.
