I'm still nervous about this game.

 

can't imagine why, given our lights-out closer and our stellar record in close games

 

Actually Dempster was a very shaky closer last year and far from lights-out. Also our record is one run games is actually 0-6, no where near stellar. In fact you could say its the exact opposite of stellar

I'd kill for a few years ago Mariano Rivera on the Cubs. Lee Smith, Rod Beck, Mitch Williams, Alfonseca, Hawkins, Dempster, Aguilera.....a long list of guys who never made a save easy in a Cubs uniform.

This is good. We need to learn how to win these one run games.

 

I'd rather we have more practice at winning 5 run games, but that's just me :)

This is good. We need to learn how to win these one run games.

 

 

Screw that. The Cubs need to score more and put some room between them and the Nats with the wind as it is.
