ESPNews is reporting that sweetepeteman was caught in a Vegas hotel room with 2 strippers, an ounce of cocaine and a goat. Details pending.

The funny thing is also-after this pick, he doesn't even have to make another pick for the rest of the 3 round mock draft-I think with just one pick he's milking this for some face time :D

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I saw sweetpeteman on earlier...did anyone PM him to let him know it was his pick?

No, they didn't.

With the sixth pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Washington Redskins take:

LaRon Landry Sr. S LSU

They need help back their and fast, they were near last in the league in many defensive catagories, including yards per play. With Archeleta underperforming and now gone, they need a Safety to step in next to Sean Taylor.

And I have PMed PriorPower, IMB... :glare:

With the 7th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select:

Adrian Peterson RB Oklahoma

My reasoning:

I see him as the best available at this point, given the other picks. The Vikings had other need at QB, WR, and LB. However, the top 2 QBs are gone. It would be a stretch to take Willis. The same goes for Meachem and I really see Ginn Jr as Troy Willamson part deux. In Peterson, the Vikings would have a 1-2 punch of him and Chester Taylor. While not totally comparable to McCallister and Bush in NO, it is similar and has the potential to be good. It could also create for some intersting options, such as lining up Peterson in the backfield and Taylor as a wideout. It adds flexibility.

The Atlanta Falcons are now on the clock. I have PM'd Bob Sanders.

And with the quick turnaround, the Falcons select Jamaal Anderson.

1. It's been a while since we had a guy by that name

2. The defense is a wreck, and Kerney's departure didn't help

3. Somebody already took Landry.

Edit: PM'd Warpticon for the Dolphins pick.

With the 9th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select Levi Brown, OT, Penn St.

The Dolphins have been looking for a left tackle for a decade, and Brown could be the one. DL and WR are also options, but the Dolphins feel that the talent drops off at those positions less swiftly than on the OL, so they take the value pick here.

This seems to be moving dreadfully slow. Will we even finish before the actual draft?

It is Friday night. I'm guessing this will speed up this weekend, especially as the board activity begins to pick up for Opening Day.

I think some people might not even know that the draft has commenced. I didn't know until today that we were already drafting.

Maybe someone could amend the title of the thread with *now drafting* or something.

I have to work all day tomorrow, so I will just make a list of 4 guys that rams will take in order, if one is taken before the Rams pick move onto the next one.

1-Amobe Okoye

2-Alan Branch

3-Patrick Willis

4- Hall, the CB from Michigan.

Didnt want to slow this down anymore, I think Okoye will still be there when the rams pick and he is the guy I think they will take. But if he is gone move to Branch next, then on down the line.
