make rocket take the bungles

Seriously.

And I know of two Chiefs fans on this board, one of them should step up.

TT took the Chiefs, and I've volunteered to double up and take the Bills...all we need is someone to take Cinci.

I'll do it if Rocket doesn't go for it.

If one of those Chiefs fans wants them they can have it, btw. Just say the word, otherwise I'll do it.

Many player profiles and mock drafts can be found here and here. Something like this may help you as well.

Alrighty! Looks like we can begin. The people choosing for each team are located on the front page. Here's the draft order below for the first round. I'll post second round as we approach it. Please make your selection with a brief rationale or explanation.

Also, once you pick, please PM the next team on the list.

Vance, we are going to pick the 3 or 4 3rd round compensatory selections, right?

We'll go through the 3rd including compensatory picks.

Is there going to be some sort of 12 or 24 hour time limit per pick?

Officially, that would be nice. I hope people don't take that long. If they do, we might replace them.

The Raiders pick Jamarcus Russell, QB, LSU

*** Note: if I were the actually GM, id sign Dave Carr and draft Cal Johnson, but I picked realistically ****

I hate the Raiders.

Can Al Davis just die already? Can we make this happen, please?

The Detroit Lions select...

QB from the University of Notre Dame. Brady Quinn.

Explanation:

The Ghost of Joey Harrington be damned! Jon Kitna is getting old and waiting another year to draft his replacement seems odd. Grabbing BQ (hey that's QB backwards, is that a sign!!) now affords me the opportunity of having him sit ala Carson Palmer behind.... guess who as the starting QB.....Jon Kitna. Sitting is good for BQ, because lord have mercy does my offensive line have some huge holes in it.

I could of drafted Joe Thomas and locked down the LT for a good 8-10 years but LT Jeff Backus isnt as bad as some may have you believe. George Foster (im sure ill say more on this trade later in the draft) takes over at RT now instead of moving Backus there, thus the need for Thomas isnt as much now. It would be nice to draft Thomas and move Backus to LG (a position of need) but this franchise needs a QB and waiting till next year to get a top flight QB isnt a guarantee.

Its a shame this team sucks so bad and my first pick wont even contribute to this crappy 2007 team because we sure the hell could use all the help we can get, but we are the Detroit Lions baby!

Cleveland...You are on the clock.[/b]

Crap, there goes the number one guy on my draft board.

Mine too, but it seems in the interest of realism we're supposed to pick who we think they want rather than who we want, hence carniby's picking JaMarcus.

is it a bad sign that I took the Bills but, after looking over their roster, only recognize like 5 names? Who the heck is on this team? How do I know what they need if I don't know if these people are any good? Mel Kiper, save me!
