That game was awful to watch. I know diving and acting hurt is part of the game now but it was ridiculous how much Pedro and Busquests did today. That plus Barcelona surrounding the ref after every call was disgraceful. The 2nd Messi goal was brilliant though.

Evans just sent off for a really bad tackle on Holden, Holden might be really hurt taken off on a stretcher.

Big trade for the Blues today, they traded Eric Johnson, McClement, and a 1st rounder to Colorado for Chris Stewart and Kevin Shattenkirk and a 2nd Rounder. The first round pick is protected if its a top-10 pick though. I really like this trade, EJ might have the most upside of anyone, but Stewart instantly is in the conversation with Backes as the Blues best forward, and Shatternkirk is a rookie defensemen averaging almost a point per game.

Its amazing how good Meireles has been since Daglish moved him back to his natural position, instead of playing him out wide like Hodgson did.

Sky is now reporting Liverpool have confirmed the bid was accepted. First it was rejected, then Carroll put in an official transfer request and they approved it. Torres to Chelsea is all but official at 50 some million pounds. I doubt they are getting Anelka back since they bought Suarez and Carroll. I clearly think Carroll is overpriced, but if you look at it from the perspective of Liverpool just swapped a constantly injured player for two of the best young strikers in the world, you've got to count it as a huge win for Henry and co. Plus it looks like Charlie Adams is on his way as well. I would say as of now with Carroll, Suarez, and Adams, and minus Torres they are better off now then they were before the transfer window started.

Sky Sports is saying that Newcastle rejected the 35 million bid. I dont know who looks more foolish Liverpool for offering it, or Newcastle for rejecting it. Now I am just hoping Liverpool dont up their offer to 40

I thought they rejected the offer, was it accepted? They rejected 25, then 30 and then Liverpool met their 35 million asking price. Nothing has been signed, but there's an agreement. I assume it means they are selling Torres if they get Carroll. So they are most likely going to get about 10 mil and Carroll for Torres. I would have much rather they spent the Torres money on Aguero, Llorente, or Rossi.

That's almost certainly not true (Hendry doesn't appear to have been in Europe/England/Liverpool to have had such meeting). That said, LFC is definitely in on Suarez. Hopefully they get it done. Yeah the rumor has been shot down, hopefully they can get him in and I would like a natural winger as well so.

Whats the price tag on him? I know its high. The rumors I have read say anything from 15-25 million.

Rumor is John Henry met with the agent for Suarez today. Hopefully they can get a deal done with Ajax cause Liverpool could use him.

No, grabbing the facemask now matter how light is a 5 yard penalty and automatic first down. Its 15 if you twist them. So either way it would have been a first down.

Blues win again tonight, I thought they would make the playoffs after adding Halak but I did not think they would be as good as they have looked so far.

Thinking about buying a Blues jersey from the site, but have never had a hockey jersey. How do they fit? If I wear an XL in most shirts should I order an XL or get one a size bigger?

It looks like he was left off of Milans Champions league squad for Oddo who is complete crap, so that is probably not great news for him.

It is a dumb thing to say, but no different then when Lou got kicked out of the game a few years ago and the Cubs went on a huge run. The media and all the fans were saying Lou getting upset light a fire under the Cubs, but it had more to do with the Cubs being more talented then any team in the Central Division that year. No, not all the fans. Really, not even close to all of them. The Cubs didn't really take off until Aramis's walk-off against Milwaukee almost four weeks later. I don't think that's really true either. Aramis's walkoff was the Cubs 7th win in a row and their 17th in the last 25 gmaes. And the June record could have even been better if not for the fights (Lilly getting kicked out in the first inning in Atlanta and Lee getting kicked out of the Padres game almost a week later). And after that Aramis homerun, they were only 5-4 in their next 9 before getting hot again. Lou's tirade didn't change the season but that timing did happen to be when the Cubs starting playing better. The rest of June and July were both excellent and Aramis's walkoff was right in the middle of that long good stretch of play. Allright all was the wrong word to use, my point was that fans of both teams were saying stupid stuff like that.

Silva has been good, but he has not been nearly as good as Latos who should be the next guy taken. Even Jaime has just as good if not a little better case to make it over Silva.

The pbp and color guys for this tournament are light-years better than almost any baseball pbp and color guys No question. The studio analysis is meh though. I was referring to the studio guys. To be fair though English is the 2nd language of most of the studio guys other then the Americans. Same cant be said for baseball analysts.
