Dennis Green is scheduled to arrive in the Oakland area on Tuesday to interview for the Oakland Raiders' head coach job, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Does he know who the Raiders are?

I'm guessing he thinks they're what he thought they were. Should he get hired I don't doubt that he has no plans to let them off the hook.

BTW, Carolina fired their offensive coordinator Dan Henning, in a move I've been calling for for a while. Keyshawn Johnson claimed he'd only stay if Henning did. We'll just see.

Dennis Green >>> Art Shell

But that's saying nothing at all.

I would hope for something good to happen, but since it's the Raiders I know they'll screw it up. Just like the #1 draft pick.

What are your thoughts on Sarkisian?

What would be your definition of screwing it up, out of curiosity? You want CJ the most, right?

Anything that involves drafting Troy Smith would be a disappointment for me.

As for the pick, I'm not sure right now. It depends on if they trade either or both Randy Moss and Jerry Porter and what they get in return (i.e. trading player and pick for a higher pick). While I'm happy Brian Brohm decided to stay in school, I REALLY wanted him. If the Raiders decide to keep the #1 pick and not trade down, they had better take Calvin Johnson because neither Quinn or Russell is worthy of #1 money.

The problem might not be that they screw up in who they pick specifically, but in that they will probably take either Russell or Quinn, but will not really upgrade their OLine except for maybe a couple rookies, and that will continue to hurt them.

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but word around the campfire here in PA is that Russ Grimm will be the next Steelers coach. Wasn't he a candidate for the Bears at some point (pre-Jauron or pre-Lovie?)

Also, the Dolphins may complete the trade with Alabama, interviewing Mike Shula

Grimm interviewed with the Bears when they ended up picking Lovie. Grimm may have been offered the job, but balked when he was told he wouldn't have total autonomy to pick his staff.

Now that Wiz is out of the picture, I hope they hire Grimm.

Yes, and not only that, but I believe Russ Grimm's interview with the Bears was his first HC interview. I like him, he's a no-nonsense kind of guy. OLine is the most underrated position coach in football.

Shula to Miami might feed the nostalgia of Phins fans, but I just don't see how he's anywhere near ready to coach an NFL team.

I'm a fins fan, but in no way do I want Mike Shula to become the next HC.

Why? You could trade for Brian Gresie then?

LOL. We did already have him. He was horrible. Is there a Csonka anywhere in football we can bring in too?

I'd have preferred Wiz to Grimm, Arizona got a good one.

I don't know all that much about him other than he's a coach at USC. But because of that, I would have to think that he is a good candidate for the job and wouldn't mind having him.

USC fans would disagree with you, but I would disagree with them. I think they expected far too much once Norm Chow left.
