Definately, Durant REALLY needs to add alot of muscle in the next few yrs, cause right now he looks like Keith Closs, physically.

He doesn't turn 19 until the end of September. He'll fill out, and he'll score 18-20 PPG as a rookie next year.

Ryan Gomes admitting to Celtics Tanking???

I probably (would have played), but since we were in the hunt for a high draft pick, of course things are different," Gomes said. "I understand that. Hopefully things get better. Now that we clinched at least having the second-most balls in the lottery, the last three games we'll see what happens. We'll see if we can go out and finish some games."

"The players weren't thinking about the lottery and all that," said Ryan Gomes, "but reality is reality. Now that our position in the lottery is set, hopefully we can go out and win some games.

"Things could change now, but another thing you've got to think of is that he (Rivers) was doing that for a reason. It could be for that reason (lottery position) or it could be for getting the younger guys some playing time or seeing who's going to be here next year. There's a lot of things that go into that."

Eh, it's no different than what I was expecting he would say. I'm getting the impression that when teams are out of the playoffs, the coaches just say "screw it" and just run the offense and defense how you want to run it. Teams that are out of the playoffs just play non-chalantly and generally look bored that they are there.

I can't recall ever hearing a player say what Gomes said.

I'll laugh when the Bulls get first or second in the draft and the Celts are stuck at four taking Joakim Noah :D

After the draft workouts, I'll be real surprised if Noah ends up anywhere in the top 10.

IDK about that. If Durant ends up on a team like say the Bulls, via the Knicks, or perhaps even the Hawks, he may not get enough minutes---dispite his talent---to get 18-20 ppg. Now if it is a team like Boston, or Philly, then all bets are off.

220.

So...no, not a string bean.

190

We won't have an official weight until the combine, but my guess is closer to 190 than 220.

Well, as long as it's not like Kate Moss...

Well. physically, Durant is THE MALE Kate Moss.

They cry like little babies over the hamburger debacle, but they do their best as of late to get the Bulls a better pick. Good job NY Knicks. What a bunch of losers. I love you Isiah for being such a sucky GM.

There's no need to be fixated on Durant or Oden. There's such a small chance, but there's plenty of other talent in the draft. And besides, the Bulls are by far the best "lottery team" there is.

They can make a serious run this year, never mind next year.

Just like when the Bears were entering the playoffs, I felt good for our chances of taking down the Conference title.

The League title on the other hand? Not so good.

Dudes, I'm pretty skinny, but I'm 6'4 190, there's no way in hell Durant is less than 200.

that's not skinny. I'm an inch shorter and 30 pounds lighter

You don't know about it because there's maybe one team (he'd start from day 1 in Atlanta) in the draft with a shot at landing him where minutes could be a issue?

Draft Probabilities

As it stands today, the odds for the Bulls look like:

1 - 4.47%

2 - 5.12%

3 - 5.71 %

6 - 43.95 %

7 - 35.16 %

8 - 5.18 %

9 - 0.15 %

Hm, no chance at 4 or 5...that's sort of odd.

I'll gladly take a 15 percent chance at a top 3 pick though :)

That's because they only draw for the first 3 picks, and then sort the rest by record. So the Bulls could win one of the first 3 picks, but since the Knicks only have the 6th worst record there would be no way after the first 3 picks were drawn that the Knicks would have the 1st or 2nd worst record left, which would be the 4th and 5th picks.

I find the most astounding thing about the Knicks collapse is that they are falling below teams that have been practically trying to tank the season, even though the Knicks can't improve their draft position at all by losing.

Either that, or the Knicks are tanking anyway and nobody happened to mention to them that it's not their pick.

i don't understand the futility, the knicks are a talented team. they didn't play any better under brown last season, either. it's not just the coach--but it may be the GM.

Talented, yes. Willing to play team basketball, buy into a program? Perhaps not so much.

well, obviously something about the team is wrong--perhaps just poorly constructed.

i still wish we had curry. if we get oden with the knicks' draft pick, i will rescind that statement.

Cavs up 73-70 on the 76ers late in the third quarter.

this race for the #2 seed is nothing short of remarkable. Neither team will flinch
