I still think Zambrano is going to settle down and pitch a good game tonight. If the Cubs can't climb their way out of a 2 run hole, it won't be the fault of the pitcher.

How many HRs has Z given up already this year.

5 I believe.

Good god. Someone needs to tell Z he doesn't need to throw 95-906 miles an our and nip at the corners with his off-speed stuff to get guys out.

I miss the days when opposing hitters were just pounding it into the ground.

That wasn't that bad of a pitch to Caberra.

Sometimes you have to tip your cap.

Does anyone think the WBC has affected Z? I don't have any opinon, just asking.

The real problem was the walk. Cabrera is a legit hitter so, yes, tip your hat to him but he can't exacerbate the situation by walking batters.

The walk hurts, but that wasn't that good of a pitch. It was down, but right over the heart of the plate.

Sutcliffe seems to think that Z throws a lot of 4-seamers and can just lay it in there. He wasn't trying to paint the edge of the corners, Rick.

 Yeah, I picked Prior as my ace, so I have a similar sense of guilt.

Um, are serious? Do you not pay attention to baseball?

You pick Prior as your ace and you get what is coming to you.

Z buckles down and throws another filthy strikeout pitch. He looks to have good stuff if he can stop walking people.

That's been the case so far this year but it has yet to happen, save maybe the STL game.

1. Am I the only one encouraged by Z's reaction to the homer? He laughed it off, and stayed cool. Plus, with his heat, down the middle at the knees is not that bad a pitch.

2. They are going to show hightlights from game 6? Why? Is this going to keep happening every time we play the Marlins? Its been 3 years.

I'll take the blame for Zambrano.

He was my #1/ACE SP pick in my fantasy team. Of course that means he will suck this year. :(

That happened to me two years in a row. I picked Mark Bellhorn in 2003 over Mark Prior in the middle of the draft. Then I picked Prior as my #1 in 2004. Then I stopped doing fantasy baseball because of it.

Poor Derrek Lee.
