1. Am I the only one encouraged by Z's reaction to the homer? He laughed it off, and stayed cool. Plus, with his heat, down the middle at the knees is not that bad a pitch.

2. They are going to show hightlights from game 6? Why? Is this going to keep happening every time we play the Marlins? Its been 3 years.

When you are behind in the count and the guy is sitting dead red, it is not a good pitch, you can't lay it down the middle to big league hitters, especially not Cabrera.

It's baseball 101.

Young pitchers

Pitchers you haven't seen

Lefties

You take a ptich or two unless it is in the kill zone

If you have all three of those wrapped up in one player you take a few.

What do the Cubs do?

Swing at pitch 2, 4, 6, 7, and 9.

ESPN seems to enjoy torturing Cubs fans.

It's fate's fault more than anything. ESPN is just recounting what the baseball gods do to us.

Ok...at the risk of having the "swing at the best pitch argument"...JP actually only took 2 pitches to make an out after Z's 27 pitch inning. That is not good baseball. At least Ronny made him work a bit.

So lets go over what we've seen in the first 30 minutes of the telecast.

1. A 2003 reference

2. A Bartman reference

3. Getting reminded that Willis was drafted by the Cubs

4. Another replay of the Derrek Lee injury play

I love ESPN.

Apparently, they think the majority of their viewers are Marlins fans tonight.
