Another hit for the pitcher. The Cubs HAVE to lead the majors in giving up hits to pitchers. They just have to.

I like when our pitchers give up hits to the opposing teams pitchers. It's always nice to see.

Not as bad if Z hits a bomb in his at-bat.

96 MPH fastball for Z to get the K.

Z is most effective when he pitches in the low 90s; that's when his ball sinks and he gets groundballs. He's been getting too many fly balls lately.

This one might be good. Especially if Z gets Ramirez to ground out (making the pitcher run).

So lets go over what we've seen in the first 30 minutes of the telecast.

1. A 2003 reference

2. A Bartman reference

3. Getting reminded that Willis was drafted by the Cubs

4. Another replay of the Derrek Lee injury play

I love ESPN.

Apparently, they think the majority of their viewers are Marlins fans tonight.

They should know that Marlins fans only show themselves until the second half of September? And that's only if the team is in the playoff hunt.

They probably won't show up then either...

Meanwhile, Z isn't fooling too many of these guys.

I do remember their fans showed up in 2003 late in the year. But I can't tell you how many home games they played when they drew less than 20000 fans and sometimes they wouldn't even draw 10000.

Z looks good. The walk to Uggla killed there.

Nothing you can do when I right hander pulls a low and away slider out to left. 9 times out of 10 that is a weak grounder.

Z at 41 pitches already.

<---- Wants to convice her to put up her old avatar, but in light of Keith Hernandez's comments thinks better of it.

Z's slider has been pretty sick on the outer half.

He has a nasty slider.

When it's not floating 6-12 inches off the plate and the hitters are just looking at it (which has been the case way too often in the early going of the season)
