    Yes he DOES qualify as the the minium is 127 innings - he has 133. He currently leads the NL in ERA. Smoltz is also "only" 11-6. Whether you realize it or not - he IS a contender if not a finalist.

    As i'm currently watching Prior pitch vs the Twins and watched the An Reyes start on Thurs a couple ironies coime to mind... 1) Drafting Mauer (current MLB batting leader and a catcher to boot!) over Prior was an argument used for contraction when all that nonsense was being talked about how small market teams did have the $ to compete as the Twins couldn't afford to pay Prior's bonus. 2) An Reyes started Thur vs the Sox (1 hitter CG) and while at USC was thought to have better stuff but fell in the draft below Prior b/c everyone had reservations of An Reyes staying healthy. Just a couple fun facts! Now with that being said and having had to personally witness last Sunday's abomination called "Mark Prior's Return!" i will say Prior looks much better.

    Yeah, that is why i scratched my head. I can understand this if there is day Cubs or Sox game but i was near a TV today and turned to ESPN to see Pujols at bat (yes, i watch ALL baseball) and ESPNews was on??? I don't understand as i am in Chicago - Cubs/Sox country!

    Oh thanks - this seems to happen every so often. My next question would be - why is a Col/StL game on Comcast in Chicago??? Isn't Comcast usually just local teams?

    Yeah, the "Sergio Mitre Experience" is coming back to reality lately too. I can't imagine Koronka will keep this up in Texas of all places.

    It's smoke and mirrors. Are you being serious? I'll admit i don't know much about him and never saw him pitch. However, the last time i had really good/close seats in Wrigley was 2004 and i saw Hill quite a bit and i remember my intialy impression from the first game was he only had that curve that one major league hitters realized he didn't have much else they would be able to sit back on it and kill it. What kind of LP is Koronka? What does he throw?

    I'll take the blame for Zambrano. He was my #1/ACE SP pick in my fantasy team. Of course that means he will suck this year. :(

    If Tony was so worried about the integrity of the game he wouldn't have let Kline and Tavares put pinetar on the bill of their caps. Talk about ridiulous. Nor would he have flat out lied about McGwire and performance echancing drugs... Dusty...Bonds...BALCO... Sosa's corked bat... Tavarez's hat... I agree with the post above (soapy). This is really isn't a big deal. Neither side is "innocent" and this is the kind of crap that takes place on the field. Each team trying to get the edge. They both want to win. I wasn't attempting to implicate Baker was telling the truth when he denied knowledge of Bonds and BALCO. Of course, he was lying thru his teeth. If Baker approached Bonds could you imagine such a converstation? Baker: Huh, Mr. Bonds, there some bad stuff in those BALCO products. Bad stuff Dude... Bonds: Go @#%** youself! Baker: Huh OK, I'm sorry Mr. Bonds, please forgive me. lol

    I don't have the Edmonds hate many do around here but... NO WAY is he a HOFer. He was a good CFer but IMO not a HOFer.

You wont find to many people on these boards defending Baker, most of us hate the guy and would love to see him run out of town as quickly as possible. Thats the difference between StLouis fans and Chicago fans, at least we can identify stupidity. LOL - know many cards fans? TLR is not that beloved either. Some fans have even paid to fly a banner of the stadium calling for TLR to be fired and ran ads in the newspaper.

    Guys, my opinion... Take this discussion offline and delete all posts. This site is high enough profile where i'm sure someone from the Cubs organization reads it. If something happens - even if it wasn't by you - you bet your azz that the first action of the lawyers will be to subpoena nsbb.com IP logs. Given that i doubt Tim has deep enough pockets to fight even is he is in the right - talking about this here isn't a good idea - especially with the current state of cyberlaw being the legal equiv of the wild, wild, west. My 2 cents.
