wow all the love just cause he lost some weight? last year the guy couldnt get out from under "i wish he would grow up, he's gonna implode" on this board.

well its nice to see ya'll might finally be appreciating this awsome guy for what he is...one bad arse mo-fo

My Favorite Carlos moment was the night he homered off Wade Miller to tie the game. He ran around the bases in about 12 seconds flat and swore at himself the whole time. Also, drilling Edmonds twice in 1 game is about as good as it gets. I'm pretty sure 99 percent of Cub fans would die for a chance to drill that sissy with two 98 MPH fastballs.

I Love you Z.

8) That was so sweet.

I wonder if people are going to be more willing to charge the mount on him now that he's slimmed down. I'm just concerned about the batter's widow. No harm could come to Z, the Man of Steel.

Thanks Jon, nice work.

i was at that game, it was beautiful.

I was at the game, as well. Nothing like horror and profanity followed by hard laughter in person.

Of course, now that I think about it, I don't think that was one of his triples. I think he was going first to third.

When Carlos Zambrano breathes in the cold, he can't see his breath. This is because his breath is hiding from him.

for the record me personally, as the one who started this great thread have always loved big Z, not sure about others posting though.

Yeah it couldn't have been a triple since he's wearing the pitchers jacket.

Actually, I think he got a fair ammount of love last year too. Maybe you're thinking of a different northsidebaseball?

There were definately a bunch of people that called him a baby and said that he needed to grow up. I certainly wasn't one of those people but they were on this board.

I hate him.

He's that good.

I feel the same way for old Pujols. But, only when we are playing you. Otherwise I admire his hitting. Carlos Zambrano is great. I have liked him since I wrote him way back in the minors and he wrote me a little note back, I have no idea what it says, but he signed the card.

Why didn't the chicken cross the road? Because it saw Carlos on the other side and could only stare in awe.

Carlos Zambrano actually can touch M.C. Hammer.

Carlos Zambrano does not sleep. He loses weight.

Says it all.

imagine covering a base and you see this coming

At least last year you wouldn't have to look how close Zambrano was to you because you could tell by how much the ground shook. Won't be able to do that as much this year since he slimmed down. I'm not trying to make fun of the guy one bit, I love him as much as every other Cubs fan does.

For me, the Edmonds beanings rank right up there with Farnsworth dropping Paul Wilson back in 2003. I know I don't like Farnsworth, but I will never forget that incident just like I will never forget the Edmonds drillings. Totally awesome.
