Finally there is one thread where we can all come and show our love for the the great one - Carlos Zambrano. This thread will be used to discuss the awesomeness that is Big Z, post pictures of him, and put all of the many great Zambrano quotes, and whatever else may come up.

But what if Lee finds himself facing Team Venezuela and Cubs teammate Carlos Zambrano in the WBC final?

The fact that Carlos Zambrano has won 32 games in the last two seasons is the truest indicator there is of how pathetically meaningless the win stat is, considering that he is behind only Clemens and Santana in terms of performance over the last two seasons.

 

I look forward to more Z strikeouts, masterpieces, and antics. :) He's probably my favorite current Cub.

Z definately looks slimmer. I heard him say he wanted to lose 20 pounds and I am realy glad that he took the initiative. Watch him get hurt now though. But he has been the best Cub pitcher the last two years. Doesn't get recognition, but I am fine with him flying under the radar. I think he has a good of a shot as anyone to win the Cy Young in 06. Good hitter too. Didn't have have a better average or OBP than Paterson last year?

I will never forget when Z got Bonds to line out to him w/ the bases juiced. His reaction was classic, and i think that moment started my (totally healthy) man love for him.

My Favorite Carlos moment was the night he homered off Wade Miller to tie the game. He ran around the bases in about 12 seconds flat and swore at himself the whole time. Also, drilling Edmonds twice in 1 game is about as good as it gets. I'm pretty sure 99 percent of Cub fans would die for a chance to drill that sissy with two 98 MPH fastballs.
