Barring a comeback, will Florida State's loss to Clemson knock them out of the top 25? Not sure if there enough good teams to fill the top 25.

 

So much for my hopes of keeping the game respectable and limiting injuries. Illinois next week is going to be a battle.

 

If Iowa can't win in Wisconsin today, they'll have to beat Minnesota at home for a 6th win. It's not out of the realm of possiblity that the Big Ten could fulfil only 4 of their Bowl commitments if Ohio State goes to a BCS bowl and Michigan State can't upset Penn State.

The Big Ten is all kinds of terrible this year...

 

I don't think FSU would fall from the Top 25 if they lost to Clemson today. Clemson's not a terrible team, and 3-loss Michigan, who's in the Top 25, is no better than a hypothetical 3-loss Florida State.

Illinois shouldn't be a battle. They lost 37-3 to Purdue today. Purdue is not a good team at all this year. Northwestern will beat Illinois by at least 3 TD's next week.

Baz has been bad the last two games, the WRs have been bad the past three games (as has the offensive line), and special teams is unbelievably horrid. Not sure what the injury report is, but despite it being a game they should win easily, they have not looked good at all since Michigan State.

Baz has been pretty bad..he has been overthrowing wide open receivers countless times over the last few weeks. It doesn't help when the wideouts are dropping easy completions either. Everything will click though against Illinois' defense though, I will promise you that.

I know how terrible they are, but we desperately need to reestablish a running game (if not for the season finale, for the bowl game). They may very well take this week to regroup, but I'll only believe the offensive success wen I see it.

 

I sure hope they go out there pumping on all cylinders. They should be pretty pissed with how they played and the "win" over Iowa on senior day may have been a bit of a distraction. Hopefully Ohio State can take care of Michigan because I want the Sun Bowl bad.

 

But if they don't put up big offensive numbers on the Illini, that's going to hurt our chances for a better bowl game. You can't go 4 straight weeks with your offense looking like you know what.

They better not call that a TD for USC. He was out of bounds. Looks like the refs figured it out afterwards. These refs aren't that good, might want to check if a guy is inbounds before signalling for a TD.

 

Leinart rushes in on the next play, 14-3 USC. The D just broke down on that play.
