Mizzou takes care of Baylor 31-16. I don't know why Baylor didn't start the QB they brought in once they were down 24-0, because he ripped the Mizzou defense to shreds. Great last game for Brad Smith, 160 yards rushing and 3 scores. Mizzou is now bowl eligible, and apparently they still have the slimmest of hopes of winning the North. That requires Iowa St winning tonight, Iowa St. and Mizzou winning next week, and Colorado losing it's last game to Nebraska. I know, but it's hope, and I'm clinging to it.

It would have been nice for Brad to win the north in his last season, maybe we still have a miracle finish left for him. Stupid loss to kU. What do you think is the best bowl game that we go to?

I really have no idea what the bowl situation is like for the B12, I've been a Big 10 fan prior to attending. I'll see if Tiger board has anything on it.

It looks like if we win next week, we're looking at the Independence Bowl(v. SEC 6th or 7th), with a slight chance of moving up to the Alamo Bowl(v. Big 10 4th), and a chance of moving down to the Houston Bowl(v. someone from a non-BCS conference). If we lose next week, then the Independence Bowl is the best we can do, followed by the Houston, Champs Sports(v. ACC 4th or 5th), and Fort Worth Bowl(v. C-USA 4th).

Wow, the Alamo Bowl would be a huge success for Mizzou. It seems highly unlikely, but I would take it.

I'm not sure whether you should commend Les Miles for running a double reverse in overtime or smack him upside the head for it. In any case it gained three yards.

3rd and 6...TD game, LSU.

Russell completes a pass in the end zone to win the game!

Hell Yeah!

So, LSU or Miami? Who's the best one loss team?

Yeah..I know I got beat on the post, Raisin, but I was busy dancing around my living room.

It's a VERY close call, but if I absolutely had to pick one I would pick the Bayou Bengals. I'd probably stick Bama in between LSU and Miami when it comes to 1-loss teams.

I'm biased, but LSU's only loss was an OT loss of a game that had to be moved right after a second hurricane hit the state. A number of LSU players had displaced family members with them that week, so it was stressful.

They've had big road wins against Arizona and Bama and beat Florida and Auburn at home.

Miami is good though and could make a case. If Texas and USC play for the national championship, I'd like to see LSU face off against Miami assuming both end the season with only one loss.

Man those would be two awesome matchups for the BCS bowls.

Well, this is utterly depressing. After Ball State's defensive performance the last two weeks, giving up only 3 combined first half points in the two games, they trail EMU 19-0 at halftime, and it would be worse but for a missed 32-yard field goal at the gun. I was really hoping for a 4-game win streak to end the year.

Am I mistaken or is South freaking Carolina now the front-runner to represent the East in the SEC title game?

The refs at this game are pathetic. Marcedes Lewis catches a pass in the end zone and is pushed out of the end zone and they spotted it in on the 1. Wow.

EDIT: They review the call, TD UCLA! 21-7 they lead it with 4:36 in the first quarter. Drew Olson is 5/7 for 229 yards and 3 TDs in the first quarter.

Why does ABC have a Big 10 football commercial in the middle of an ASU-UCLA game? 21-14 UCLA leads it with a little over 1 minute left in the first quarter.

After 1 quarter, UCLA leads it 21-14. Drew Olson is 8/10 for 295 yards and 3 TDs.

Well, Ball State fumbles the ball away right off the bat to start the 2nd half. Game's pretty much over.

The good news is that I can focus completely on the Bulls game in a half hour.

Big win for the Hawkeyes in Alvarez' last home game. The defense was just dominant and held Calhoun to 18 yards on 15 carries. Wisconsin only had about 60 yards in the second half until that final drive when the game was decided and the offense made some plays in the second half.

With a win next week over Minnesota we have a shot at playing in January in the Outback Bowl. In order for that to happen we would need Penn State and Ohio State to both win and go to BCS games. Michigan would then go to the Cap One and the Hawkeyes would likely be picked over Wisconsin (having the tiebreaker also helps) and Northwestern even though they beat us last week.

Damn this team is so close to being 8-2, 6-1 another share (at least) of the Big Ten Championship, a possible BCS game and a guaranteed New Year's bowl. I'm still trying to figure out how we lost that Northwestern game last week, ugh.

Somehow I'm not shocked. :) I got beat posting on the Cal and Stanford wins, cuz I was whooping and hollering.
