Chandler may be gone soon, too....

Anyone is trade-able, but I doubt it. But trading Tyson now wouldn't be the same thing as trading Brand in his second season. Chandler's unlikely to develop into a superstar at this point.

And who knows what will happen to Deng & Gordon? Shall we acquire another two lottery picks so we can move out the last batch of lottery picks?

My suggestion would be to hold on to them and let them develop rather than trading them for "legitimate veteran talent".

Others may enjoy being the developmental team for others' future stars. I don't. I think it's terrible. Losing a player like Brand only convinces me further that we need to turn the tables and BRING IN someone else's lottery pick who is ready to turn the corner, instead of watching our own picks turn the corner elsewhere.

Sounds good to me but the Bulls lack the veteran -- and often overrated -- assets that teams typical use to acquire developing players from other teams. I'm hoping the Bulls sign a decent free agent and fill a couple of needs in the draft this off season.

But if you're saying because Jalen Rose is out there we shouldn't even try to add veteran production/leadership to this team, then with all due respect I'm glad Paxson has the job.

Juvenile shots aside, I'm saying the Bulls shouldn't trade away developing talent just to add NBA veterans. Paxson has been following that path to date, too.

Not trying to take a juvenile shot. Just saying I think Pax is going to use his picks/young players to pick up an actual proven veteran this year, and you sound like you would want to continue the draft carousel (read: rebuilding). I would be against using another couple first rounders as actual picks and bringing them straight in. That would be counter-productive, this team is ready to take the next step and it won't happen by training another batch of players from the ground up. That horse has left the barn.

Maybe if there was a LeBron James in this draft and New York's pick was the #1. That's not the case though.

Nice straw man. I think Paxson will make the team better this off season. Overpaying for a name player won't accomplish that, and Paxson's moves to date suggest he recognizes that.

I would trade both the picks in a Garnett deal though.

I used to think that too but Garnett is acting more and more like T.O. lately. And if we know one thing about Paxson and Skiles, we know they hate guys that aren't total team guys.

I don't think KG is right to ask out of Minny, but he isn't T.O. I would offer Nocioni, Duhon, Sweetney, and the Bulls #1 pick for KG and Jaric. If Minny went for that (which I doubt) we could also draft Aldridge or Thomas.

PG Captain Kirk

SG Gordon

SF Deng

PF KG

C Chandler

With Aldridge or Thomas, Jaric, Songalia, and company off the bench.

Lots of size with KG and Chandler...decent scoring from 4 of the 5 starters...1 superstar.

How about Gordon, Sweetney and the Bulls first rounder for KG. Use the Knicks 1st on Thomas. Sign Justin Gray, Rashad Anderson, Denham Brown or Terrell Everett if they go undrafted.

Deng, Gordon (or Hinrich) and the Knicks top 3 pick might get it done. I don't think the Bulls are any better at that price, though. As Garnett ages and Deng matures, that deal could look downright bad three years down the road even.

If we draft Morrison I will disavow this team. There's no question in my mind that he is not going to be a great pro, and probably not even a very good one. He can't create spacing from anyone.

Anyway - Bulls up 9 now with under 9 minutes left. Hinrich is playing brilliant basketball with 13 points, 12 assists and 7 steals.

And for the record - Philly plays Detroit tomorrow.

2/18 FG's in the 4th quarter and the Bulls are down by 3 with 32 seconds left.

we can never put a team away.

Unreal, this team is sooooo annoying. They have blown more leads this year than I can remember a team doing in a long time. Then you have the beautiful games where they were down 25, come back to take the lead, and then choke in the end to lose. ARRGH

Bulls lose by 4.

now 2 out. This team can't put together a winning streak (more than 2) if their lives depended on it.

at least Philly plays Detroit tomorrow, but dang...it easily could've been a half game out instead of 1 1/2.

I know. Let's give up a whole bunch of points in the last 23 seconds of the half.

What a wonderful idea!

Bulls had a huge win tonight as they made the big plays when it mattered the most.

now only 1 back of Philly for 8th (probably going to go back to 1 1/2 seeing they have the Knicks tomorrow) and only 2 1/2 behind Indiana for 7th. We play Indiana next, at home on Tuesday. Let's please, for the love of god, get a 3 game winning streak.

The Bulls have to be the most unpredictable team out there. It would be nice to see them sneak up for that last playoff spot though. That choke job the other day to Orlando hurts...

Great game. They were lathargic until 8 minutes left. Tyson played great at the end and so did Noch. Heck everyone did. I really didn't see that rally coming. But great work Bulls. Ben scored 23 on his 23rd birthday.
