79-77 Bulls with 6 minutes left. Noc with another double-double (SEVEN in a row) and Kirk with 20 and 8 dimes.

Also, don't know if it was mentioned here, but Du is out. His back is REALLY killing him. :( Gordon started in his place.

well Vince made it a 3 point game at the buzzer, but the Bulls win to move back into a tie with Philly for the 8th spot. Gordon's fouls shooting (19 for 21) is the difference in this one.

GAME!

Gordon - 36  (20 in the 4th)

Hinrich - 21 with 10 dimes

Noc - 20 and 17

All our guys came up huge when we needed it the most. And we're back in the 8th spot!

GO BULLS!

got Atlanta tomorrow and the 76ers have the Nets on the road. I don't think the Nets will be too happy about this one and they'll take out their frustrations on the 76ers.

don't look now, but we are only 1 behind both Milwaukee and Indiana for the 6th and 7th spots. That 6th spot sure sounds and looks good too...we have proven we can beat the Nets this year.

I'm interested to see how we fare against the Heat on Sunday. I have a good feeling about a series against Miami with a hobbled Shaq.

I'll say this much, if there's one team I'd want to play the day after a taxing game like this, it's Atlanta. The Bulls own them. Let's go get them!

i can't wait for that Heat game as well...national TV on ABC! First time we've been on the big network since I think that Bulls-Wizards game in 02 when MJ came back to the UC.

trying not to get too far ahead of myself though..gotta beat the Hawks and Wiz first.

When/how did the Bulls aquire Nocioni? Was he one of those 2nd round foreign player picks you forget about because the guy doesn't actually show up for 3 years?

Great win. I want the Nets in the playoffs, I think they are beatable. I didn't think there was any way this game was winnable, as Deng and Duhon were out. But a great job by everyone who stepped on the court.

Nope, foreign players over 24 (I think, could be 23) are exempt from the draft so he was a free agent in the NBA's eyes. The Bulls helped him buyout his contract to play ball in Spain, but most of the buyout had to come from Noch.

Heck of a move by Paxson and the Bulls. He's turning out to be a very, very pleasant surprise.

This team is now officially one of the most difficult to figure out. They drop a game to Philly, basically not even showing up in a critical game down the stretch to an opponent that is less than stellar. They missed open shot after open shot. Basically the 76ers handed the game to the Bulls on a platter by playing no defense and the Bulls just turned up their nose.

Then they come back and beat a team coming off a 14 game win streak. Other than some late 4th quarter heroics by Carter, the Bulls basically put it away down the stretch.

So what happens now? Do they lose to the Hawks, another team they should beat? I honestly don't know. It's pretty exciting to watch, so I'm definitely glad they hung around the playoff race instead of packing it in a month ago, which they could easily have done.

I wonder if it is the age of the team which makes it so inconsistent because you are right. We have seen this team play better than the Spurs and then lay an egg against some of the worst teams in this league. Our defense has gotten better recently and we are showing more intensity. I think we really need a big man in C next year who can at least score.
