Some of you guys are just jerks--I am not trying to be argumentative, but come on--Jose Macias is nearly hitting .300 as a sub and you still think he has not done anything--NOT FAIR!!!!!

That's true. The .306 OBP with an average of .293 tells me the guy never takes a walk, which limits his effectiveness.

I'm beating my head against the wall cause Macias didn't take a walk. 4-3 is better than 5-3.

The guys a bench player who can play a bunch of positions. You want to bring back DuBois, who has a lower obp and can't play any positions?

Yeah, Dubois will be a career sub-.300 OBP guy. He's a better offensive player than Macias by a fair margin even with his struggles, if that's what you're asking.

How's he doing w/ Cleveland?

I don't know what happened between the time Wood went on the DL and came back, up to now, but THIS is the pitcher everyone exected to see (albeit as a starter, not a reliever).

No doubt. It's the reason a lot of people are paranoid or overly-protective of using him when surgery is imminent. As Cub fans, we all want to see a healthy Wood.

Good news everyone! This will be the last game we'll have to hear Morgan and Miller. The next Cubs game on ESPN will be on Wednesday and that one will also be on CSN..

I hope this doesn't sound trollish but I simply cannot believe Wood hasn't been shut down for surgery.

You a doctor?

What's the point of this comment. It is well known that Kerry is going to need surgery this offseason. Are you just trying to get under his skin because he is a Cards fan?

You don't think Hendry's has consulted w/ doctor's?? Some of the nitpicking of the Cub organization and incessant griping is amazing here.

Next question, please.

LOL.

I am listening to the Cub radio internet feed and during the time-out between innings this Cub fan is taunting Joe Morgan something brutal. You can hear him absolutely crystal clear, it's hysterical.

details plz.

Edmonds can't catch the HEAT.

He kept yelling, "Joe Morgan! Joe Morgan!", bringing up Sandberg and Santo. After he was finished with his harangue, he got a rousing ovation from his section.

I wasn't speaking of that AB, I was speaking in general. And you know it. But you had to throw in a useless, sarcastic comment anyway. Thanks.
