While I agree that our line-up as a whole is not nearly patient enough---in the role that Macias has--patience is not really as important as for an everyday player.

I just think people tend to get on him a little toooooo much

I hope this doesn't sound trollish but I simply cannot believe Wood hasbn't been shut down for surgery.

This Cub fan agrees.

I know....I know.....I swore off this team two weeks ago.

Not at all. Many on this board agree with you. According to Hendry, several specialists have told them that he can't do any more damage to his arm if he only throws one inning at a time and less than 35-40 pitches.

Me neither.

Oops, there's my first double-post. Sorry.

It's not trollish.

If he's too hurt to start a game, why risk hurting him further in relief?

If he's healthy enough to sustain the rigors of daily hurling, why waste him by keeping him in the pen?

It just doesn't make sense.

Ya know, I'm sorry, but the Cubs really need to look at either pitching Woody in just the 8th inning or trying him at closer if they can get back in the WC race and stay there... cause what he's done since coming back from the DL is just plain dominate.

You know what I cant believe? If you're not out of the race, why give up?...

If he can pitch, why shut him down? If it isnt going to cause any harm to him, then you might as well use him.

BTW, they skipped The Stretch on ESPN!?!?!

My thoughts to the T. Maybe the team doesn't want their players to think they are conceding anything.
