Caleb was almost perfect today. 30/36 passing and those 6 incompletions were 4 throwaways, 1 deflected pass and 1 drop.

Apparently that’s the highest completion percentage in Bears history in a game with 35+ pass attempts.  Might even get himself a 60 PFF grade

Uh oh. What will the meatballs have left if the completion percentage goes up?

Weird game. Lots of penalties and turnovers for both teams. Ultimately the key is Caleb looked great. The injuries are piling up and the defense is perplexing and either elite or beyond bad but we responded well from getting beat down in GB and won without our starting edges. Good day

the defense is fine is Ben doesn’t put them in a spot where they need to make a stop over and over again, we let go of the rope offensively in the 2nd half. Two drives where we went for a kill shot on first and 10 in Atlanta territory and ended up taking a sack both times iirc, if we hand off the ball we probably win the game giving up 7-14 probably

It’s clear that Ben and Caleb have achieved that mind meld that can happen when great coaches and QBs work well together and see the game the same way. It’s something the Bears in their entire history have never achieved, it’s really special to witness.

The injuries are piling up and that sucks, but if you can get this kind of defensive effort when the 1st team is on the field, this is a team that can make the Super Bowl.

That’s apparently all reporters want to talk about. How about just having fun with him destroying the opponents’ pass game nearly single-handedly?

The reporters jobs aren’t just to have fun with him
