I'm just not sure this season turns around if the pitching doesnt get any better. We are just absolutely decimated there and cant stop giving up home runs. If we are selling at the deadline, I want all pitching back.

were the boomers the schaumburg flyers at one point? been living in nyc for 20+ years now. remember them and the kane county cougars being a thing (went to some cougars games as a kid).

Not directly,  Flyers folded and Boomers became a whole new franchise that replaced them in the Independent League.

Cougars are still around but are no longer affiliated as a minor league team anymore,  theyre independent now too. After the Cubs,  they were with the Dbacks for a couple years, they went independent in 2020.

I went to see them when they were with the Cubs, with Almora, Caratini, Bote and Schwarber on the team.

My prediction for today is they are going to trail 1-0 in the bottom of the 9th, they will have bases loaded with 1 out, Dansby will come in as a PH and hit into a double play to end of the game.
