Is Rea done for the evening? Similar to his last start. Only 65 or so pitches thru 5. But 3rd time through the lineup. He is pitching well. Righty leads off next inning. So not sure they go to Milner right away.

I'd be surprised a little, if Rea doesn't come back.

Basically did what I expected. 2 of the next 3 batters are lefty. So Milner. Interesting that none of the people who criticize Counsell spoke up on this. They would rather wait until whatever decision he makes doesn’t work so they can suggest they wouldn’t have made that decision.

I mean we know the result, but I'd say Counsell made the right decision today.  I don't usually criticize Counsell, though.

I agree. But the problem now is, who pitches the rest of the game.

Thielbar and Palencia, I would guess.  If the Cubs score more, maybe, Thornton.

Honestly - I am not even phased. They just look for ways to blow games anymore. Just what they do - I just expect them to lose anymore

Maton should be good enough with 2 outs.  Thielbar hasn't been as good as last year, though.

I think we’ve hit fun bad territory because there’s a tiny part of me that wants Maton to completely implode for all the vitriol it would cause
