I’m assuming this one is a loss as well. It’s baseball, so it can turn around in one inning, but Milwaukee is playing like we were a couple weeks ago, and we are playing like straight horsefeathers.

Cubs won the series 7-6 last year, but it does seem like we never beat them

I've theorized for a while that there is something fundamentally broken with the way the Cubs game plan / strategize for PAs with RISP.

 

 

Outside of Nico, this is a lineup full of guys looking to slug over making contact and finding holes.

How many times have we seen runner on 3rd less than 2 outs and see a popup or strike out?

I know Hoyer extended everyone and all, but he gonna need to find a way to make some changes to the everyday lineup for next season

Me too, they need him now, but I like the idea of having him available to get them 3 innings/once through the order when needed.

Cubs will be 12-11 in their last 23 games if they drop this. Treading water in the weirdest way possible. 

Also with the Cardinals winning, if the scores hold the Cubs will be in 3rd place by percentage points at the end of the night. Good thing it’s still mid May
