Dude, he made a mistake. He knew it as soon as he asked for the challenge. Doesn’t make him a moron unworthy of being on the teams. Relax!

He deserves to be on the team but he’s 100% a moron.

That was a level of selfishness you never see in pro sports

To be clear, are you saying if a player challenges a pitch and is wrong that makes him selfish? Because that is all Boyd did. Again. Huge overreaction. Boyd is actually one of the best guys in the team. You are talking out of anger and being ridiculous. As I said, he made a mistake. He knew it right away. Doesn’t make him selfish or a moron.

Not saying we had the game in the bag but man am I mad at Counsell. Just a completely unforced error. I dont care about the health of the remaining pitchers. We had a lead and Boyd largely sucked tonight as he has this season. He should not have come back out for the 5th.

PCA just said “Yep, I am running to third. I am gone. Goodbye.”

I understand I just sounded like Sut, they might or might not have been my intention.

This by far is the most I’ve seen ABS affect a game.  With Miller looming that’s horrifically bad luck to get rung up on that

don’t know if I’ve seen a game so obviously decided by how good the teams are at challenges

And the Cubs came into tonight tied for first with a 63% success rate. Totally blew this one so far.

I agree Brown should have started the inning. Bad call. Pen is stretched, but Brown is rested. Why not let him give you 3 innings. All right handed Bats were coming up.

Given the spot in the game, him making that challenge was absolutely selfish and absolutely makes him a moron. I would be livid if I was Brown or any of the fielders he screwed tonight.

The ABS thing is secretly helpful for the umpires. Normally you can just blame the game on the umpire for the non-strike call in the 5th but instead people will just be mad that we used our challenges up early.
