This team is bad and they should feel bad.

Really not worried.  There's no reason to suggest the entire team besides Nico won't hit and the bullpen will light every game on fire when they come in all year.

I just feel bad for Shota - I was at work and unable to catch the game, but the high note is he must have looked like some vintage Shota!

Bats have to help him out - that many base runners and no runs is unacceptable. Bounce back tomorrow hopefully 🤞🏻

I still fully expect this team to win 90+ games again. Today was just one of those games you will get over the course of 162. Not a big deal.

Exactly. Every loss doesn’t Have to be “the sky is falling”

all I'm taking from this game is that Shota looks legit again. Velocity (for him) and command were top-tier

Shota's splitters looked better today, and his 4 seams are still 92mph.

Agreed. To me the season starts on May 1.

Already shut out at home more times than all of 2025

So that means out of 79 games at Wrigley Field (horsefeathers off MLB and your stupid Japan series), the team was only shut out in fewer than two games? That is pretty incredible.

That is the good that came out of the game today. He looked good again.

I wasn’t really following too closely. So Shota pitched 6 innings and allowed 1 baserunner (walk), Thielbar came in and allowed 2 runs and 3 hits in 0.2 IP, then the rest of the pen pitched 2.1 IP without allowing a baserunner.  Meanwhile the Cubs had 13 baserunners and didn’t score.

gotta love baseball

They didn't lose this game because Thielbar gave up 2 runs, they loss because they couldn't score.

Thielbar could of pitched a perfect inning and they still probably would of loss in extras.

thielbar had also not allowed a hit going into the game

Interesting bringing in him with 3 righties after O’Hearn. I’ll let it slide because he’s our best reliever outside of Palencia.
