Seems like every team wants us to play the guessing game at QB.

I saw some video of Steelers practice.  They think Caleb exposes the ball when he spins out of the pocket.  They’re practicing swatting the ball.

Maybe because they’ve watched film.

lowkey even more impressive than the strides in the passing game is how well Ben Johnson has schemed up the running game and how well an O-line they patched together in one off-season (4 new starters??) is playing

I’m not sure I’d call what they did with the O-line “patching together” when they deliberately went out and invested significantly on three interior guys. The LT spot is a patchwork, but the line as a whole is a deliberate investment.

Just excited to have a Shannahan style "insert udfa/late round RB" offense.

Most pleasant surprise for me this year was seeing the run game start to click.

Sure, I suppose I meant how impressive it is to bring in 4 new starters and have a very effective line this quickly (though there were definite growing pains, like the pre-snap penalties)

I am not sure what we did to deserve the injury fortune we have had on defense.

Get Jaylon back, lose the entire LB corps. Wtf.

Jaylon and Gordon are both ruled "out" for tomorrow

Yikes I thought we'd get Jaylon back

They were never going to bring a guy back from injury for him to play 2 games in 5 days coming off said injury. Bring him and Gordon back vs Philly, you get them a game before a huge GB game, and you also give them 2 extra days of rest for that game with the Friday game this week.

I don't understand how we have so many injuries.  Is this happening all across the NFL or is it only the Bears who lose multiple starters every week?

I think we’re probably right around average for how many starter injuries we’ve sustained compared to the rest of the league, we’ve just weirdly concentrated them in a handful of position groups.

and in comparison our Offense has been almost untouched by injury. (Well we’ve missed a game or two for certain players, and DJ I think has been hampered by injuries all year long)

I just don’t think we can stop the Steelers with so many players out.

31-24 Steelers.

Steelers are horrible against the pass, so Caleb is due to punish them today. Dennis Allen has been missing guys on defense all year and he's found a way to get the most out of the guys he can play. I think the Bears can win this game even without 7 starters. D'Marco Jackson knows this defense. Hippolyte is pretty green, but he can certainly cover some ground with his speed. Wright, McCloud and CJGJ have been playing in place of Gordon and Johnson most of the season. I don't care who is under center for the Steelers, Bears are winning this game.

Sister is in town and the only day the direct family can do Thanksgiving is today at noon. DAMMIT! I've got every football game recorded so I can watch them all later.

That means you won’t be able to follow this thread LOL.

Enjoy the pre-Thanksgiving festivities

Steelers have scored 30 only 3x this season. Week 1 vs the Jets, and both times vs the disgusting Bengals defense, including last Sunday. But they needed 2 defensive TDs to get to 30 last week. Steelers have 4 games over 300 yards of total offense. Again, 2 vs the Bengals. Only 1 game all season above the 373 yards the Bears offense averages per game, and you guessed it, it was vs the Bengals. No other game has been within 30 yards of the Bears average output per game.

Not that the Bears defense is good by any means, but the Steelers offense is pretty bad. They are 22nd in passing and 29th in rushing offense. They've been missing the CBs all year. Essentially the only losses this week are Edmunds and Sewell, the 5th lowest graded LB per PFF.

This isn't the game to worry about the injuries. But going forward, no Edmunds will be a killer. The Bears offense is going to have to do what they do and win the game.

The Bears linebacking unit consists of preseason backups today. With the current injuries they’re as bad as any unit right now. 30 Points is more than doable for a Steelers offense who’s already done that 3X.
