I don't love that this was the 4th week in a row that Caleb had a <60% completion percentage. His accuracy was off all game, and he made perhaps the worst play of his season on the fumble - just a completely unnecessary blunder which showed a complete lack of awareness of the play and game state. You don't need to hold onto the ball for 7 seconds backed up in your own end zone, and you definitely want to do that in a tied game. He avoided anything of the same scale for the rest of the game, but it's something that loses games. You can't do that.

I still think Caleb's That Dude, and I still think he's making progress, but I want to see more of it cleaned up. There were 4-5 throws (minimum) where he completely missed a dude that was wide open. You're not gonna make every open throw. But you gotta minimize these. You can't keep missing 15-20 yard plays. You'll lose games against better teams.

TJ Watt was on him fast on that fumble. I'm not sure he could just "throw it away" either, he wasnt out of the pocket and an intentional grounding would have been a safety. given how bad the D was all day, a safety may have led to 9 points when the Steelers would have in unstoppable fashion marched down the field. Running the ball would have been a better play call but in the end, even the fumble (and TD) didnt kill the team. I just wish the D could stop molasses, because THAT would change the game

If Jaylon comes back on Friday, does Wright start over Stevenson?

Stevenson is being asked to cover #1's in the NFL week after week. Get JJ back, and he will be fine on the #2.

I think the Fail Mary has given Stephenson an unnecessarily harsh reputation. He's a good player, and he's a significantly better cover corner than Nahshon Wright.

Wright has come up with some incredible interceptions but pound for pound, its not close on who's a better corner

Cowboys just tied the Eagles, Eagles are not head and shoulders above the rest of the NFL.  They, like every other team, are beat-able.

Not even sure what to root for in this game. Do we want an Eagles loss? That could backfire if that fires them up.

I suppose we want to see them exhausted and injured.

Philly is phalling apart internally.

I think Stevenson is fine, but I think Wright might be better right now. I don’t think Jaylon follows the #1 receiver around; I think he stays on one side of the field.

For someone with sub-60% accuracy, Caleb just doesn't throw picks. 33 TD, 10 INT in his career so far

Put the ball in harm's way a little today with some inaccuracies, but he now has 152 throw streak without throwing an INT, after 255 straight last year. I know there were concerns that he was holding onto the ball and being ultra-conservative, but I think this year has just proven that he just doesn't put the ball where it shouldn't be.

The streak was 117 coming into today, and IDK the stats for today, but those 117 featured ZERO (0) interceptable passes. So he isn't even relying on luck and the ball hitting DBs in the hands....until today with a couple of his overthrows.

Hopefully they get a few guys back on D Friday and not add anybody to the injury list.

-3 point differential,  but that's mainly the Detroit game.  I think the Vikings a few years ago went 11-6 or 12-5 with negative differential or close to it

i think nearly every team is mid-to-bad.

well, except the Eagles who we're seeing next week lol

Care to rethink this post after they lost to Dallas? Lol.

I didn't get to watch the whole game, but from what I saw I didn't think Trapilo was as bad as Theo has been in pass pro... anyone keep eyes on that this game?

After they mentioned that he was starting for Theo at the start of the game, I'm not sure I heard his name again all day. That’s a good thing. Our Pro Bowl RT was the one Watt beat like a drum for the defensive TD.

I don’t like Caleb’s comp pct either but the absolute worst thing a QB can do is force throws and start racking up INTs.  In college he was 67%.  That leads me to believe he is capable of being more accurate than he is right now.

I don't think he will start forcing throws. That's just not his game. He sees the field too well. The completion % will come up if he starts taking checkdowns more. But that's also not his game. If the comp % can get up 64%, he may be the best QB in the league with his mobility and propensity to make the big play.

And he's not as far off as you may think. If you take into account the drops, he's already at 62.5%. Obviously, drops happen to all QBs but drops are not counted on play's like Rome's today where he got the ball knocked out on the sidelines or many of the contested catches he has NOT made this year.

This offense is real close. Caleb is real close. Both are really good as is, but the next step is something we have never seen in this city, and it's on the cusp of happening.

I don't even think it's a big deal.  There's an article somewhere in this thread about how Caleb's completion % isn't even really a big deal in the offense that Ben Johnson is trying to run.  No doubt he misses some throws every week that make you scratch your head, but Ben also wants him pushing the ball down the field consistently and picking up chunk plays.  He can miss a few throws if they are hitting a lot of intermediate passes imo.  Ideally the fully formed version of Caleb will involve missing less throws but for now its working for him and he's been pretty good as a whole.

36:10, the 3 from today haven't been added yet
