I love Brisker but, has he any football IQ at all?  Maybe, he couldn't see the ball in time to veer off and let Stevenson make the INT but, if he did, just how horsefeathers stupid is he?

I might be a little high and a little high on the Bears, but they finally dumbed themselves into a real coach. It’s coaching that changed this team.

Cowboys game.

The Bears might be the worst 7-3 team I’ve seen, but I love the crunch time ability.

They came into this week 25th in DVOA. I have a feeling that won’t go up after this one.

The Bears still aren't very good but listen, there's no need to apologize for anything, the Vikings recently won 13 games with a negative point differential.

Now the Bears are like, pretty likely to make the playoffs too lmao. Sincerely don't care how fraudulent a team this is, that rocks for Ben Johnson's first year and the roster's confidence in him and themselves.

I still think it's a sub 50% likelihood. They probably need to go 3-4 with one of those 3 being over San Francisco.

Beating 3 of PIT/CLE/GB/@GB/@SF isn't all that far fetched.

NYT projection had them at 45% to make playoffs (but first put at 10-7 as projection).

W over SF would be huge since they have them as projected last spot. Any division and conference wins help more than AFC wins (and those are 2 of the easier chances left).

But GB looks like frauds. Split them and sweep AFC opponents and you go into week 17 with a likely chance to clinch against SF. I'd take that (and you still have week 18)

If one of those 3 isn't SF they may well be first team out of playoffs.

Even if it was off some fluky W luck. 10-7 and missed PO would be a pretty successful season, albeit bittersweet result.

The other thing to keep in mind is a 10-6 Bears team going into week 18 could be going up against a Lions team that has already clinched the division and resting starters.

I'm under no illusions that this Bears team is great, or even good. However, they're clearly better than half the NFC (ARI, NO, ATL, MIN, CAR, NYG, WAS, DAL), which automatically puts them in playoff contention.

So that's fun.

To me, there are 5 tiers of teams right now:

1. Teams that are good and have the record to show for it: NE, IND, LAR, SEA, PHI, DET, BUF

2. Teams that have a good record but I'm not convinced they're any good: DEN, GB, CHI, PIT, TB, LAC, CAR

3. Teams that would be scary if they rallied to make the playoffs: KC, BAL, SF

4. Teams that are feisty, but won't make the playoffs: MIN, DAL, JAC, HOU

5. Teams that are just bad and are already racing for top 5 picks: ATL, ARI, MIA, WAS, CIN, CLE, LV, NYJ, NYG, NO, TEN

The Lions will want to beat Ben Johnson with their starters either way

The Bears, to say the least, have had some questionable wins, this and the Washington game should not be among them.  Bears dominated both, we're clearly the better team and had perfect storms of bad officiating and not being able to get the horsefeathers out of their own way making the scores closer than should have been.

I mean, the Bengals game is the ultimate example of the Bears dominating on the field and not being able to get out of their own way to put the game away.

I lol’d when the announcer called Caleb the Comeback King after the game like he had anything to do with the GW drive.

He said “the comeback kids, Chicago Bears do it again.”

I go on a rollercoaster with these comebacks emotionally so I’m just gonna jump ahead to tomorrow right now and save myself the trouble:

This is a good road win.  The Bears played better regardless of letting the Vikings come back.  NFL games are often close.  Even with the bad teams playing the good ones.  This same Vikings team beat Detroit a couple weeks ago, in Detroit.  Packers struggled with the Giants today just like we did.

Yes, the next time we might be on the receiving end of a comeback and it will suck.  But it’s most important to realize that a team who just couldn’t win very often has become one that can - and in dramatic fashion - in the space of one offseason.

Quite literally although, that onside kick recovery was extreme luck and will probably never happen again in such a fashion.

The Vikings radio guys aren’t fans of JJM.

Special teams and defense decided this game, and somehow the bears won those areas?

Who is a fan of McCarthy right now? Their special teams was just slightly worse than the Bears somehow.
