I maintain that Cooks caught that pass and had it all the way to the ground.  Something’s very, very wrong when that becomes an INT. And something’s wrong when lollipops are a valid strategy.  Packers are getting 2 or 3 extra wins every season off that slop.

I don't mind the Interception but the two flags at the end kind of bother me. Yeah, thats how the game is called often these days, but it just sucks when the corner is playing well, is in good position, is looking back, and they get flagged for PI. It's almost a cheat code to just throw it up in the air and 2/3 times you get something good happening. Its so, so hard to play defense in this league and they only make it harder.

I love seeing the Niners get crushed

Seahawks scare the life out of me, though

The 50/50 ball has become more like 60/40.  Why wouldn’t teams do it?

this was, very lowkey, the nadir of that season. certainly not a game they blew at the end like they did 5 or 6 other times but just complete and total offensive incompetence, caleb looked awful, Bears had every chance to win if they could put together half a drive. very depressing game to watch.

at least i'm reasonably sure we wouldn't duplicate that result

Allen choked this game away so hard. Starting to feel like he will never get it done.

His achilles heel is trying to do too much to make up for the shortcomings of the team. His WR corps today consisted of Shakir, a 1st round bust who was benched several times this season, a 32-year old they picked up a few weeks ago, Curtis Samuel coming off the IR, and a call up from the practice squad. It's criminal how much of his career they have already wasted by giving him WRs off the scrap heap.

I wouldn't call the guys on IR much better than the group you just labeled.

I certainly felt that was a catch. As Soccer pointed out, NFL wants the play completed to the ground. If that ball comes free and hits the ground, it's incomplete. Thus, in this instance it simply passed to the defender for an INT. I was certainly surprised they didn't make an official review of it just to be sure. It almost seemed like a casual nothing burger, nothing to see here, move on type of response by the officiating crew.

The PI's seem like good no calls in that crucial time of the game. At least one of them at the very least. However, someone screen shotted a blatant hold in the end zone which would have resulted in a safety for Denver that wasn't called. And I mean BLATANT. You can't rant about the PI's and ignore what should have been a holding call in the end zone.

But, that's officiating in the 21st century.

Can Drew Brees come out of retirement for the Broncos? Don't be surprised if Houston wins today.  Seahawks are scary no doubt but Bears can beat anybody.

The one thing that gives me pause about the INT in the Bills-Broncos game was the Aaron Rodgers play a few weeks ago against the Ravens where he caught his own pass.  That one was initially an INT and then was considered a catch on replay because he had his knee on the ground before it turned into an INT.

But I still think based on the catch rules, the call yesterday was correct and that Rodgers one continues to be a horrific overturn.  That inconsistency is a big issue though.

Can go back and forth about Cooks catching the ball or not, true problem was the throw by Allen.  Cooks had his defender beat, Allen under threw the ball creating the catch/interception.  Just unfortunate by Allen, I was rooting for the Bills.

There were a number of times in the game when forward progress was stopped and the officials took far too long to blow the whistle. I forget whether it was Nance or Romo who called it out. The officiating in every game is just inconsistent and terrible.

I haven't watched the Texans much but man Stroud has done some really stupid stuff the last couple weeks. Like why the F are you throwing that ball, backpedaling with a lineman in your face? What exactly are you hoping to accomplish there?
