The only bad tonight has been the ft shooting. Gonna need to hit those to win here.

Or just stay up by 15 by hitting shots. That works too.

One game in which they'll be fairly significant favorites from a final 4. I didn't see that coming with the way they closed the regular season.

Must have big ten officials in this game

Definitely, most especially towards the end, the full grab and hold was for Houston.  Just a bunch hackers.  Tuggler literally committed 10 fouls, could have fouled out within the first 15 minutes.

Nor did I.  Everybody talks about Houston' toughness well, the Illini took it and returned it in spades.

I honestly was feeling down on them after the big ten tournament, but sometimes hitting a skid at the right time is a blessing in disguise

I mean, their skid was 4 one possessxion OT games and a no show against Michigan.

Houston was not the best team they've seen this year.

However, Illinois has probably been the best team on the left half of the bracket so far this tournament, which is very exciting.

There's no UConn monster in their way this time, Underwood has a real chance to get over the hump.

Amusingly ,there is a real chance that UConn IS in their way eventually.

I think MSU is going to take them down.  Nevertheless, if the Illini can get there and eventually face UConn, how sweet would it be to take one from of the all time horsefeathers HC's?

Oh, I think so too. I think UConn is the 4th best team left in that region.

It would be funny if all of the Final 4 teams are Big 10. Although Purdue is a longshot vs AZ

I don't think AZ is quite that good. I think Arkansas was a paper tiger that squeaked by a couple of 12-13 seeds and clearly wasn't on a Tier 1 or Tier 2 level.

They could name that bracket the all time horsefeathers HC region

I'm still baffled that St. John's owned them this year, won the Big East regular season and tournament, and still got seeded 3 spots lower than them.  I've thought UConn was a fraud all year and Sparty definitely has the horses to take them down.

I really think the mid season injuries hurt them a lot more than people acknowledge.  Between not having as many games played as a unit plus all the extra minutes guys like Wagler and Mirkovic played because of the lack of depth, I think they were just kind of gassed the last 1/3 of the season.  Losing that first B1G tourney game allowed them some extra rest and practice and they've looked so much better.  Last night was by far the best defensive effort from this team all year and I'm not sure anybody other than AZ has enough offense to beat them if they can keep up that level of intensity the rest of the way.

As opposed to the time when you weren't allowed to pay players and the SEC dominated. Weird

They appear to be locked in, playing real well, if they continue at this level they've an excellent chance of beating Iowa.

I get this is more referencing football, but can the Big 10 win a basketball title before we claim they’re  dominating it? I mean, it was only last year that the SEC had two F4 and 4 of the E8 teams.
