Could the home team finally win a game in this series?

Yeah, they did.  I thought the Mariners were going to lose tonight, when it was 2-1.  Now, it's more interesting.  The Jays have to win both at home.

What weird machine built Shohei Ohtani? He is probably the greatest athlete in any sport in the world. Elite in two of the hardest skills in sport.

Impressive showing by the Brewers this nlcs. I figured they’d get swept but I didn’t figure they were capable of scoring a whole 3 runs in the series. Waste of a horsefeathers nlcs. My heart hurts for baseball fans everywhere.

If the Dodgers complete the sweep and the Milwaukee goes 3-6 in the playoffs it's going to make the front page articles dripping with condescension about how much more intelligently built for October the Brewers are especially funny.

They have to be setting a record for futility in a 4 game playoff series

If this isn’t the fewest runs and hits in a four game sweep, it’s got to be awfully close. 3 runs and 12 hits is pathetic.

There is no team in baseball that shouldn't have been willing to pay him AT LEAST what the Dodgers did.

Very true.  If I remember correctly, Shohei considered being a cub both time, coming from Japan and two years ago.  When he came over from Japan, NL didn't have DH, so he picked the Angels.  Two years ago, there was no way the Cubs could match the Dodgers' contract.

Well it’s not the fewest runs. My dad, who is a Dodger fan, remembered the Dodgers scoring 2 runs in the 1966 WS against Baltimore. They got 2 in the first game and then were shut out the next three games. They got 17 hits though.

1966 WS: O's over Dodgers: 2 runs, 17 hits

3 complete game shut outs - the O's used 4 pitchers total after Moe Drabowsky pitched 6.2 innings in relief of Dave McNally in game 1. McNally would throw the 3rd straight CGSO in game 4.

I wonder what would've happened if somebody tried. It really seemed like he was going to the Dodgers all along and worked backwards from that, but maybe if someone had had the cojones to pay him what he's obviously worth he may have considered other teams?
