I was thinking the same thing but Castro was nowhere near first base so it would have been the same result or worse.

I’m saying Busch should have stayed at first, Boyd gets the ball and throws to first to get the out. Once Busch goes after the ball they have no choice but to go home.

Two hitters he had 0-2,, the first one he walks and the second one he gets pounded.

Boyd has allowed 18 ER in his last 5 starts. Definitely seems like he’s tiring out a bit

Civale will get him a day off 😅

PCA has holes in his swing that the league is exploiting. He's overeager and pressing. Probably will take an off season adjustment to get his swing back

Offense already hit their once per week 4< run quota on Friday.

Not getting it going offensively against a horrific team at Coors is not a great sign

BABIP gods really hurting him this one. They have 2 hard hit balls. He has not been great lately. But this game is very much not a true reflection of how he has pitched.

His last 3 starts before today, have been good. I mean, they still should hit him. But he is pitching better lately.

It’s been the entire road trip too. Logan Webb is the only starting pitcher they’ve faced with an ERA below 4 and they’ve been handled 7/9 games.
