I need to vent as a fan - I don’t care if people like the comment or not. I’m tired of this nonsense. 

First  of all - we have a manager that is ignorant. Trying to say “trust the process” or “this is baseball and people need to get over that”, nonsense! Say what it is - the team is struggling a great deal, and we will make changes as we need to, or something to that affect. 
Also, if he is INSISTENT on making Michael Busch a lead off (that’s straight laughable by the way), then pinch hitting for him in the sixth inning doesn’t show much confidence, Does it? Perhaps you should have a guy like Hoerner leading off. I’l call it what is - the Brewers had the REAL leader on their staff the entire time - Pat Murphy. Counsell likes to make himself look like he’s the smartest guy in the room, but he’s failing miserably at managing this team. Period. Milwaukee is looking at Chicago with a permanent grin on their faces knowing they dumped a liability on them, while they’re burying us in the division. 
 

The division is such an afterthought it’s ridiculous. Any fan thinking this team, with this management will somehow come back from this deficit against the Brewers is either lying to themselves or just plain ignorant. They’re head and shoulders better than the Cubs. At this point, I’m going to say this - a wild card birth is unlikely to happen. Just like the last two season, fans will watch this team continue to implode. 
 

Anyway - those are my thoughts and the vent session. Do better, Chicago - starting with your management and leadership.

Yes!! I like the fact you call it like it is - Counsell’s comments about “this is baseball” “trust the process “ or “we are fine” is a huge pile of 💩!!

Nah, they will still make it.  Who else is going to?  The Mets aren't playing well either and I don't see the Reds passing both.  They have a tough schedule as well.

the reds are pretty good and the mets are too, they could easily both pass the cubs

Okay - so I’m not alone lol

This team shows no signs of life, and they have absolutely zero friggin leadership. I think they’re going to miss out on playoffs. Everyone is saying “Oh, trust the math” blah blah blah……here’s some math (ignorant coach + major slumps from top half of your lineup + shaky pitching = getting your 🫏 kicked and losing games)

So let me get this straight.  We are now a no slug team that has to bunt and manufacture runs to score, but also sucks at bunting and manufacturing runs... and gets thrown out every time we try to steal a base in a critical situation.  Do I have that right?

I am not sure they will tbh . It’s pretty much the same trend with the offense as the last few years when they all disappear at crunch time . My hope was that getting a true superstar like Tucker would keep this from happening . 
 

Unfortunately he is the one leading the way instead of putting the team on his back  for a while when they are hurting the most . So dissapointed in Tucker .
