To be fair, we've lost on oversliding the bag before, just not in a long time. Ronny Cedeno pulled it off once in his glory days

Ronny Cedeno did it over sliding second on ball four.

Cubs are a lock for the playoffs , they say

I’m willing to wager they are out of a top 3 wild card spot within 2 weeks from now

No doubt in my mind the Reds snap the Brewers streak tonight.

There will be people rooting for the Reds because they think the Cubs can catch the Brewers 😂

PCA with 3 hits but was thrown out on the bases in 2 of them.  Great player but that was just like the stupidest ill-timed horsefeathers ever and will directly impact this loss

And the first time he got thrown out was dangerous and could’ve prevented a guaranteed run.

Feels like it, theyll sweep the Brewers as the Cubs will lose 2 of 3 this weekend and then the Brewers will probably take at least 3 of 5 in that series.

Brewers destroyed this team 33-6 over the last 3 games.

Because the Brewers are good at baseball

only the horsefeathers cubs would extend their idiot GM after four years of zero playoff appearances just in time for him to absolutely horsefeathers blow the trade deadline, leading the cubs into an epic collapse.

bottom 5 organization in baseball.

Only the Cubs would hand the job to a guy because he was the previous guy’s buddy. Then extend him.

Didnt the cubs have like the easiest schedule post all star break? 😂

I wish Jed was held accountable but so many fans don’t seem to equate postseason success in their calculus of an effective Front office.

It’ll come down to the second to last series of the season vs the Mets for the final wild card spot with the Reds a few games up in the wild card standings after taking 3/4 right before the Mets series, games 156-159.

Frankly the Cubs taking 2 games of that series would be a huge surprise.

I will never understand the Jed Hoyer apologists.

Never.

I don’t expect this team to make the playoffs anymore.  I hope they do.  They might.  But I don’t expect it.  They’ve gone too far south now.  They’re a broken team.

We actually probably want the Brewers to beat the Reds tonight.  The division is over
