Busch need a day off

Let’s just cycle Castro through every position to give everyone a day off.

Man I don’t think I’ve ever seen a run like the Brewers are on. They aren’t just winning nightly, they’re usually up multiple runs within the first couple innings and don’t give it back.  The dodgers had a hotter stretch in 2018 but still this is wild

Brewers are playing like the cubs were in April May into June

And Shaw has 100 less ABs

Smith has been something awful since the Cubs series. 54 wRC+ since then. K% over 30%. On the year his wRC+ is down to 98 where as Shaw is now at 84.

You’ve got to love modern sports.

Also: “We are heading to the studio where the hosts are promoting sports betting with no age restriction disclaimer attached to it.”.

I didn't really think about how the Astros traded for Correa to fill third base instead of trying Smith there, but....a little weird right? His offensive path to being a successful player gets a lot harder when putting up negative defense in the corner outfield.

Yeah, it was a bit of an odd move. Especially with how Parades isn't going to be dead forever, nor is Correa gone any time soon. I think it says how they view his defense on the overall. Though, he is a +9 DRS and +3 OAA, so he's been a positive defender in RF.

Tucker looks like he is out in front of everything.  His swings are almost all arms.

I looked into some of the statcast. My best guess, just peeking at data is that he's just fighting himself right now. All of his approach stuff is fine, so he's not chasing, expanding, or whatever. His angle of attack is shallow, and he's hitting things to centerfield over pulling it.

I think he's second guessing himself on good pitches right now. Slow to react.

Don’t feel great about Shota facing the middle of the Reds order for a 3rd time at over 90 pitches but I guess you have to stretch them sometimes after essentially a bullpen game

Just to get Elly who's much, much less potent against LHP (79 wRC) than RHP (149 wRC+)
