Somehow Dansby is involved in the collapse every year with bonehead play. Remember against the Arizona ? Botched easy play in critical series. Botched base running blunder? Same players same results

I feel like an absolute sucker rooting for this team. The Cubs winning is a football, Tom and Jed are Lucy, and I am Charlie Brown.

And I’m Linus waiting for the great pumpkin (a post-season appearance).

Thank you for giving Jed an extension, Tom! Good work.

Who doesn’t love Jed signing the power house Berti/Brujan/Turner bench that we’ve had for most if the year. Or his three decent starters, where the next best is injured. But the next best is Jameson horsefeathers Taillon. Or constructing this bullpen.

But I guess he did win the pixie dust lottery with Matthew Boyd and he’s been something that we thought he wouldn’t be.

It’s looking like I’ll be concussed and you’ll be cold in a field. Glad you have a blanket, though.

Are you referring to the play that single handedly kept the Cubs out of the playoffs as they would have made it if he caught it on the fly?

That one was even more impactful than Seiya's drop in Atlanta.  Cubs still miss the playoffs if they win that game, but they make it if they go 2-5 against Arizona instead of 1-6

Yes.

This does have a 2023 feel to it. We were so hot especially offensively from like mid-June through early-August 2023, we looked like the most dangerous offense in the league. Then the offense trailed off the pen imploded and we missed the playoffs by a game

The silver lining is that if this crap doesn't stop soon they won't finish within a game
