Would have been nice to see some fight offensive but nope 3 up 3 down. I’m posting this before the last out is made, just assuming

The 2016 Cubs went 5-15 at one point.  This sucks, but it happens to every team.

We entered the day with the 2nd best record in baseball.

It’s the timing of the absolute collective suck that has people (rightly) both worried and pissed.

I feel like this slump is what might push Tucker out of Chicago. Not because he won't get an offer from the Cubs, but because he'll associate this terrible slump with being on this team

Cut it out! This is not the 2016 team. Not even close.

I mean, possibly. But as good as he is, I haven’t seen enough from him this year that shows me he’s worth $500 million.

There is no world in which Tucker is getting 500m if he doesn't turn it around real quick.

I doubt they ever planned on signing Tucker..

It not hard to see what the plan is for the next 2 years with this team and to why Hoyer got the extension.

Theyll go into the offseason just adding a few pieces to fill out the roster and get them to the 2026 trade deadline where then they'll do like they did with Rizzo, Bryant, Contreras and Baez, theyll trade the guys that are in final year of contract and we'll see Caissie, Ballesteros, etc getting their opportunity.

This will get Ricketts a low payroll heading into the probable 2027 strike season.

This is the only thing that makes sense for the way they handled the offseason and this past deadline.

I think he's going to want a change of scenery

If he doesn't break out of it, he's gonna have to sign a one-year deal to rebuild his value.

Nope, teams will just say it was his finger and the cubs stupidity of not shutting him down for 10 days to give it a chance to heal when it happened .

The 2016 team was also coming off a 97 win season and an NLCS appearance, and then demolished the league for the first 2 1/2 months. At no point has this team played close to as good as that team for any extended period.

That’s why they kept Caissie. The Cubs don’t even bid on star players let alone outbid others.

I”m calling a 2 hit shutout for tomorrow, with a combined 7 K from Tucker and Seiya.  Guessing PCA going to get another day off.

I don’t understand this logic. Tucker is a big part of the problem right now. He is the scenery.
