Well I kind of hate that for a reliever they didn't even need.

You're going to remember this comment when he strikes out the side on nine pitches to clinch the world series.

I'm higher on Soroka than most and basically see him as a bad #3 or good #4.

We needed more than that.

More than a little frustrating that we're essentially going to bet on Boyd and Shota both remaining healthy and effective the rest of the season

I really wonder if acquiring Rogers was a last second pivot because they now need to throw Soroka back into the rotation rather than the bp. What an absolute piss down your leg moment if this is how it ends up.

I wrote a whole ass article on him! And I'm not happy.

Just don't understand the apparent lack of a move for another SP, I like Soroka.  But, the Cubs really needed to get away from bullpen/Brown days by adding a SP.  Wasn't their record pretty bad in bullpen/Brown games?

Brown out, Soroka in lol

The Cubs have a top 5 record and this wasn't enough for them to go for it lololol.  At least now I don't need to waste my money on going to watch this team play - they aren't serious about winning

That's sure what it feels like right now.

That’s my guess.

And Horton remaining active and effective through Sept.

I feel like this is Jed at the deadline talking to every clubs GM before coming away with Castro and a player who’s name I have already forgotten

As is, we have marginal upgrades on the bench, in the pen, and maaaaybe the rotation if Soroka is going to start.

He kinda has to start, at least initially

They currently have the 2nd best record.
