Sucky suck sucks

You know the Cubs are a good team and the Cardinals are not when in order to win they need a bullpen game and errors and a bullpen meltdown to win. cubs had no business even being in this game

Milwaukee’s potential loss makes today’s game hurt that much more. Get ‘em tomorrow I suppose

Also makes it hurt less since we only lost a game to St Louis. Plus they lost to the Marlins so it was a game they were probably favored in.

You are not wrong my friend...but at least the fish came through. It's a final, they beat the brew crew 4-2

Brewers lost, Cubs will have a good chance to pick up a game on them tomorrow.  Marlins have been playing well, have Cabrera going tomorrow, Brewers have Woodruff.  I don't think it'll be 2023 Woodruff out there for the Brewers.

That loss really hurts. Keller sucked, but Dansby Swanson has no business hitting 5th and Michael Busch has no business hitting 7th in this lineup. I don’t know why Craig Counsell keeps insisting on it.

Had to go to a funeral 45 minutes west of St. Louis, so I got to listen to Cardinal radio all the way home yesterday. Not the worst radio guys, but I don't like that they only cheer when the Cardinals do something good. Got to my dad's house to pick up the animals at the exact moment Keller was coming in. Missed that entire half inning. Other than learning of the Cubs score after Keller's outing, it was a fun listen.

A better response might have been, "yeah, that was a bit out of line, sorry guys,"

Instead, you decided to double down. Not the best way to make friends here. I suggest a bit more diplomacy in the future.

I know people in here scoff at bWAR but it’s interesting that the team bWAR for position players at 25.6 has already surpassed their 2024 total at 24 bWAR.

Without any context, what would people think if you were told Tucker would be 4th in home runs and RBIs on the Cubs at the 89 game mark? Injury? Underperforming? PCA Suzuki and Busch?

It’s more the fact they lost in bullpen game thanks to Taillon’s injury that’ll keep him sidelined for over a month than simply blowing an 8th inning lead. Cubs bullpen is mortal and eventually they were going to cough up a lead.

leaving bases loaded twice without a run hurts just as much as Keller remembering that he’s human.

Tough loss yesterday. We are now a not impressive 3-3 versus this team. We need to win Sunday.

It's 1 game of 162
