I have no ability to anticipate how games turn out but I never really felt like this game was ours though I started to think so after Kelly’s HR

So the cubs could use another reliever, another starter or two, and a bat at 3b to replace darwin barney shaw.  They probably can't address all of those needs so I'm interested to see what they do.

Have you watched baseball before?

No this is my first time ever! It’s definitely valid to vent.

I could be crazy but feels like Keller had been teetering on the edge recently. Finally got burned.

It’s weird because he gave up 2 bombs but outside of that he got a routine out, a softly hit fly ball, a bunt attempt and a groundball that is a DP if hit to a slightly different spot. So you could say he got unlucky and could have been out of the inning with the lead easily and you could also say it’s largely deserved

There's venting and then there's being a bigot. Learn the difference or you won't be around much longer.

I hope and pray Hoyer is able to and can go out and get the needed arms for the rotation and bullpen because despite a couple individuals the offense can put runs up on the board.

Let get at least 2 back here to have a legit shot in the 9th

This goes all the way back to the genius decision to do a “bullpen game” against the cards.

Keller has been their 8th inning guy basically all year. He hasn’t pitched since Wednesday. He likely would’ve been pitching in this scenario regardless of who pitched the 7 prior innings.

Well that’s game. What an implosion

Keller picked today to have NOTHING out there. Only bad game he's had all year and it's gonna cost us a W. Burleson and Pozo combined for about 1000 feet on their homers and as I type this Ian whiffs again. He needs a day or two off...just horrible.

Ehhh, I mean they had a 2 run lead in the 8th with the normal 8th inning guy pitching to hold the lead, so how they got there becomes irrelevant because they were in the spot you hoped they'd be in even in a normal situation.   Keller didn't succeed in his part today.

This said, I dont care for bullpen games and I really dont see much of an advantage in using an opener.
