I don’t think that’s right but I obviously didn’t know the rule when the PCA AB happened.

think TT might finally be right about something for once…

I was wrong about the 2 outs thing but you can’t advance on a drop 3rd strike with a runner on 1st already

Dropped third strike is a stupid rule in general.

"Oh the hitter swung at a ball so horrendously bad that the catcher couldn't possibly catch it. Give 'em first base".

Interesting how the Marlins supposedly have a horrible pen yet they are just parading out sub-3.00 ERA dudes one after the other

He is right. Ball is dead when it hits the batter.

You can with two outs (when it doesn’t hit the guy, apparently) is I think where you’re still a little off. Less than two outs they don’t let you with a guy on first to prevent the defense going for a double play.

This is correct. Ball hits a batter, swing or no swing and its a dead ball.

Runner on 1st under 2 outs - batter cannot advance.

Runner one 1st with 2 ours - batter can advance

Always stupid: dropped third strike rule

When the Cubs are winning

”Aww, look at the cute babies. So wholesome.”

When the Cubs are losing to the Marlins.

”Your baby sucks!”

The relievers they've used today have ERA's of 2.77, 2.50, 2.25, and 3.65.

and 2nd worst bullpen ERA in the NL. Does one guy have a 177.1 ERA or something?
