He also had a pretty big hit in the 9th against the Giants to score a run and put the tying run on 3rd with 1 out.  In a game the Cubs lost by 9 runs.

Too anxious. Every at bat he took the first pitch and then swung at the 2nd for an easy ground out because every single one was a bad pitch to swing at. He wont be the last person to experience nerves in his first MLB game.

7th inning against the Marlins sounds about right for a player that was acquired as a salary dump for Juan Bello.

Ryan going to be closing games for the White Sox next year the way he's pitching, maybe sooner than next year.

Counterpoint: if he doesn't hustle out that 9th inning fielders choice then the Cubs might not have won. Not the best offensive performance but his determination to beat out the double play saved the game, so good on him for never giving up.
