Clay Matthews said he spoke to Trump earlier that day and that Trump wrote a letter that he wanted read before the draft started, which is when Matthews opened the letter and read "Bears Still Suck", signed Donald Trump.

If the Browns and Saints pass on him tonight is it possible Sanders goes un-drafted?

No. Subtract his hype machine father from the equation and he was probably more a fringe 1st round prospect. He will be a day two pick. Call me crazy, but if he makes it past Cleveland and Las Vegas, Dallas is sitting at 12th and I could see Jerry Jones going there.

Hasn't Sanders said (or at least intimated) that he won't play for certain teams?

Daddy Deion has a list. That's the extent of what I know about the Sanders dynamic.

Yes, and presumably a team like Cleveland is on that list. Otherwise, why have one?

Sanders was basically the 40th best prospect on draft lists going into the draft, and any team taking him in the first round was going to be noted as a reach for a need position.  The knock on Sanders is that he's not that great of an athlete, and the biggest positive on his draft sheet is that "he has the confidence of an NFL starter", which...feels kind of like a backhanded compliment?

Yeah, looking through some boards, I see him at 20, 23, 27, 28, 34, 35, 45. Given how few teams are looking for a new QB compared to most years, it’s hardly shocking to see him still on the board.

Was quite surprised to see Tet McMillan be Carolina's pick instead of Jalon Walker, if only because the entire football universe seemed to have the latter as a lock. Seems like a good physical guy to have for Young to throw to, though most analysts seem to think they should've gone defense.

The knock on Sanders is his entitlement and that he's probably not a good QB. Coaches came out and said he was the worst interview they've ever had and one exec said he makes you feel small, which is pretty nuts.

He wants all the flowers and hasn't earned horsefeathers.

This sounds even more like Jerry Jones’ kind of player.

Saw a quote that reportedly came right from Shedeur at his draft party that said something like "We all know this shouldn't have happened." Dude may end up proving folks wrong, but man he seems arrogant (which is a bit of a pre-requisite for a QB, but he may just lean a bit too far into it)

If his dad wasn't Deion where would he fall?

He may have already been picked if Deion wasn't his dad.  That's a lot of baggage.  I've even seen speculation that some coaches wouldn't want him because Deion has said the only way he'd coach in the NFL is if it was to coach his son and they take that as a threat to their job.

Bears social media response

I wonder if this BS is because they can see the Bears finally have a legitimate NFL QB to couple with what appears to be competent coaching staff?  Meaning there's a strong possibility the Packers dominance of the Bears is coming to an end?  Maybe, just maybe, the Bears are finally getting it right?  If so, that's bad news for the Packers status quo.  Or, in other words, Caleb Williams, under horrible conditions, didn't perform as poorly as Packer fans would have liked.  And it scares the hell out of them.

Given Cleveland’s history with QBs they’d be wise to have a list of their own that excludes Shadeur.

Saints passed on Sanders opting for the Louisville QB, thinking Sanders going un-drafted is gaining some steam.

I put $50 on him to go to Dallas at +2500. C’mon Jerry!

According to the Athletic, Sanders' draft prep interviews went horribly awful, and several teams could just have him as "do not draft" as a result of just that, never mind the physical specs (which were not great).

After reading about Sanders' interviews and having seen all 32 teams pass on him at least once, if not 4 times, I could definitely see him going undrafted. Any team that drafts him at this point is just going to have to deal with even more drama from the slide out of the second round and the nonsense from Trump.
