After that exercise in futility yesterday, here we are, assuming the Bulls will pick around 12.  Last year Buzelis was luck and a gift, don't expect that to happen again.  Given what we've seen what Terry-Phillips-Williams type will there to be drafted by the Bulls?

And, wouldn't you know it, I've seen some mocks having the Bulls at 13 picking Collin Murray-Boyles who's scouting report reads like a clone of Terry-Phillips-Williams - athletic,  good defensive footwork, tweener who can't shoot.

I think they'd be stupid to not pick Will Riley if they're at the 12 spot.  Kid is raw but he's a great shooter, he gets to the rim, handles it well and while Jakucionas got all the hype for Illinois this year, Riley was a better player from my perspective.  You get a little more muscle on him and he's a legit shooting guard in the NBA for a long time.

Riley might not be a bad choice, he's a lengthy project and the Bulls have the time, he's certainly a better option then yet another tweener who can't shoot.

Shocker the Bulls lose a coin toss for draft lottery positioning and the team that won the toss (Dallas) moves at least into the top 4

OK its official, the coin toss loss to Dallas cost them Cooper Flagg.

They've now lost out on Magic Johnson, Luka Doncic and Cooper Flagg due to coin tosses.

A full circle moment that they lost Luka by winning a coin flip, then they lose a coin flip and the morons who traded Luka get Flagg because of it.

Anybody who thinks the Bulls would have actually gotten that #1 pick if they had been in the Dallas slot hasn't been paying attention to the NBA.  That was 100% an under the table deal to get Luka to LA before Lebron retires so they continue to have their marketable superstar in the big market.  No way Flagg was ever going to end up in Chicago.

The dream is Malauch falls and they punt Vuc to the moon (or Sacramento). I understand the concern about CMB's shot but he can pass well and I think the shot can improve - the top of the ceiling is Draymond Green. Carter Bryant seems intriguing since he can actually hit 3s.

Then you just have hope it's their turn to get lottery luck after next year's play-in loss vs Miami and they can get Peterson, Cam Boozer or Dybantsa. Or Jerry somehow sells the team.

That would be great, just don't trust the Bulls to actively pursue getting better.  Don't think I've ever seen a franchise less interested in winning than the Bulls.  They're mediocre, proud of it and that's all they want to be.

Sounds like the Cubs until the final year of the GMs contract
