It's early in the season but I'm already sick to death of the same 4 commercials that Marquee is playing.

I'm noticing a much higher volume for the ads than the actual game, also.

Did the Cubs really waste two home games by playing in Tokyo?

I don't know why I thought they would each have a home game. I hope Ricketts is getting PAID for this

The fans are overwhelmingly dodger fans and it is not like they need any more help this year.  Dave Roberts has to have the easiest manager job in the majors this year.

No Betts or Freeman and they are handling the Cubs like a minor league team.

LOL @ the Cubs announcers not being able to figure out that the fans were excited about the walks cuz they wanted Ohtani to come up again.

Every commercial break has this same damn Hyundai commercial.

The Dodgers might win 130 games if they can stay healthy. The back end of their pen is sick.

Betts and Freeman are on the wrong sides of 30, if age regression, injury hits, the lineup isn't all that special.  Ohtani can be pitched around, even though they've been effective today, I'd still take my chances with being able to consistently get the likes of Edman, Hernandez, etc. out.  I'll take a healthy Braves lineup over a healthy Dodgers lineup.

What's going to happen first this season?  Cubs win, Tucker getting a hit, Shaw getting a hit?

Whelp, two of these happened.

in a bitter way it's kind of satisfying seeing the dodgers easily handle the cubs while missing 2 hitters that are better than any hitters on the cubs roster

Well , I hope they enjoyed the city , because the rest didn’t go very well .

I'm sure it meant a lot to Imanaga and Suzuki to play in their home country.

I don't take much away from the series.  It's two games against a good team on the road.

That inning from Pressly though was pretty alarming.  Being that wild AND his velo being down is a red flag.  You hope because of the calendar that it's just dead arm or something.

They totally gave Ohtani that HR because they thought it would be cool for him to hit a HR in Japan right?  That's the only explanation because that seems like clear fan interference.

There is no legit reason for these two games to be anything but exhibitions. So eff MLB for the making these games count knowing when these teams return to the states, they will go right back into spring training mode.

Was there ever any other possible scenario except for the Cubs beginning the season in a 2 game hole because of this series?

This why I was asking about the Cubs having the ability to decline going to Japan. I get the monetary and public relations regarding future Japanese prospects  however, given the pitching match ups, it was almost certain they were coming home 0-2.  A sliver lining may be they don't immediately continue on with the regular season so, the bad start doesn't have a chance to snowball.
