I can't believe Jed is doing it. I'm excited. Tucker is so damn good. Even if it's just for one year, puts us in the driver's seat in the division. And maybe he likes playing here and considers an extension. It's not crazy.

Yeah thats insane...only a half a season but he was on pace for 40+ HR and 9+ fWAR over 150 games.  I think he played 77 games last year.

Seems decently fair.  I like Paredes but he always seemed like an odd fit in Chicago given his profile.  I don't feel like we're losing a ton getting rid of him.  Much rather give up Cam Smith instead of Shaw given that he's much farther away.  Wesneski is useful to the Cubs and still has upside but we have several arms at a similar stage that the Cubs can use the next 2-3 years so I'm not too upset about that.

Cam Smith is the only one that hurts and I guess you have to pay to play

Considering all the names thrown out, this is fine. I like Paredes and I like Cam Smith but Kyle Tucker is an elite OFer. I was prepared for a worse deal if it happened. Wesneski is another guy I like but we have the depth there. He's not irreplaceable.
