I was an Eberflus apologist in the past. Yes, at times it seemed like he was in over his head. But he kept the team together and had them playing hard... especially the second half of last season.

But not anymore. He's still over his head. And it appears he's lost his players.

He's gotta go.

P.S. Please start throwing the ball a half-second earlier, Caleb. Too many passes where you haven't given your receivers to make a play.

the best thing you can say about caleb's first half of his rookie season is that he has faced a lot of adversity and hasn't turned the ball over very much (which he did do last year at SC, especially with fumbles)

but he's not really understanding what he's looking at and he's leaving too many plays on the field with inaccurate passes

i don't think getting the team to the LOS with a bunch of time left on the play clock and giving him a bunch of control from there is working out. seems overwhelmed.

It’s just scary that these are the results we’re getting from him with the 2nd easiest schedule in the league this year. Not all on him obviously but now we have by far the most difficult remaining schedule in the league and an injury riddled offensive line that promises to destroy any potential to develop the rest of the season.

What team should I switch my fandom to? It can't be another NFC North team

pretty easy to root for the Lions for half a season. have them win the super bowl, get johnson out of there into chicago.

How about the team that should have stayed in Chicago and instead kicked the Bears out many years ago?

I think last year was your chance to get Johnson. We kept Eberflus and now Caleb has had a year of being developed by someone else. I’m gonna guess we missed our window with him.

I can’t see Eberflus getting fired before the season ends unless Caleb did somehow get a season-ending injury at the end. Then you absolutely fire him. Run the ball or use Bagent. Garbage time on your 3rd string line after Caleb is already limping and you throw again? Coaching malpractice!

You look at the schedule, and 7-10 is likely the best outcome. The offense played so poorly against Washington for most of the game. By now they should have identified what they do well and what they don't.

7-10 may be most likely, but it’s not likely the best outcome. AZ, NE, SEA @home are all winnable games. 1-5 in the division is very doable and they should be able to win 2. 9 wins is probably the best outcome at this point. 10 wins if Williams catches fire.

Mea culpa bro, 7-10 looks unattainable now
