Jets fire Saleh

I was kinda hoping to see Saleh push Rodgers away at some point after last week's performance. Nice job blaming the coach for the failure that is that team.

Packers QBs own us while they are in Green Bay but they become a complete disaster sideshow the second they leave and we get a tiny bit of schadenfreude. So I'm enjoying the Rodgers show in NJ.

The best thing about this is that the guy they let go is tearing it up. The Jets are the White Sox of the NFL.

Darnold’s newfound success is so damning for the Jets.  That org destroys players, including franchise QBs.  I think even Belichick would fail there.

It's pretty entertaining right now watching Geno Smith and Sam Darnold, along with Baker Mayfield , doing so well on their new teams. Cleveland and Carolina gave up on Mayfield. Carolina gave up on Mayfield and Darnold. The Jets gave up on Geno and Darnold.

That's one of the most encouraging things for me in watching Caleb Williams have some success. It's a league where guys can take a lot of time to get up to speed at the QB position. Seeing him (and Daniels) have this level of success (and for Caleb, the marked improvement as the season goes on) seems to bode well for his future

I always hate how Mayfield gets lumped in with reclamation project QBs.  He was fine with the browns, had half a down season playing hurt, and they decided to gamble to try to find better than fine.

Darnold is a true bust to (four games of) success story

Maybe I'm misinterpreting it, but that eye black message from George Pickens sure gives the impression that he isn't much of a Justin Fields fan.

What else do you call a QB on his 4th team in 7 years? He signed on with Tampa for $4m. He was hardly even wanted. Sure, he's had better success, but I'm not sure how you can call him anything other than a reclamation project. Cleveland has quite possibly a worse QB history than the Bears. Although, I would have taken Brian Sipe over any Bears QB not named Caleb Williams.

Overall, I would agree that he shouldn't be called a reclamation project. Cleveland never should have given up on him when they did. They should have built a better offense around him.

Pretty wild stat:

The top 4 teams in point differential are all in the NFC North.

And two of them have had byes.

That broken leg(Tibia and Fibula) by Aidan Hutchinson was bad. I hope it's not, but that's the kind of thing that could be a career changer. Apparently they even had to put a rod in his leg.

Just saw talk Tua coming back after week 8.  What is he, one more hit away from living the rest of his life with mush for a brain?  At the very least, he should strongly consider a Guardian Cap even though, as I understand, specialists and quarterbacks have not been given the go on them.  I would think an exception can be made for Tua.

The replay, seeing his lower leg being bent a right angle is cringe worthy.
